Asami Sato was getting ready for the second week of her senior year at Republic City High. The halls would be filled with teenagers gossiping, shoving books into their lockers, trying to open their lockers, and so on. As she was getting out of the shower, her phone buzzed.

Are you ready? We will be waiting outside the apartment as usual.

It was a message from Mako, making sure that Asami was already up and on her way to pick him and his brother, Bolin, to go to school. As if she would forget to pick them up or run late to school, it was only 6:00am and classes started until 7:30am. She changed into red jeggings, a black top, black boots and her trusty leather jacket. Asami decided to cook something healthy for breakfast so she ate some blueberry pancakes and a bannana-strawberry smoothie. She looked at the time, 6:30am, and started to head out her house.

The drive to Mako and Bolin's apartment was calm and quiet which relaxed the black haired teenager. Mako and Bolin were one of her best friends, they would hang out and have fun. The day was never boring if she was with them, they would always find a way to make her laugh. As she started to pull up to the apartment, she saw the two brothers waiting for her by the curb.

"Asami!" said Bolin very excited. How would he be so energized at this time of the day? "Glad you are finally here! I was starting to die from boredom, Mako is not an early person."

Both started to get inside Asami's black Jeep Wrangler Sport. She wasn't the girl that wanted a cutesy car, she wanted something that could run and look amazing.

"Hope we aren't late." said Mako from the passenger side

"Come on Mako, where is the fun is being early?" said Asami playfully. "Besides, I assure you we will get there by 7:15am. School is not far from your apartment."

"Yeah, Mako! Just chill, besides... Asami is a great driver and will get us there is no time." said Bolin

"You're right. Sorry." said Mako as he relaxed into his seat.

On the way to school, they started to talk about anything upcoming plans they had for the weekend. They had heard that someone is going to host a back to school party on Saturday.

"We should go and have fun." said Bolin. "It's only Monday but I am already so booooored."

"It's not a bad idea." said Asami as she was parking in the student's parking lot, near the entrance. "We could all use the down time."

As they were heading into school, Asami spotted a white and big scary looking dog lying down a tree nearby. Everybody was staring at it and pointing, wondering if it was lost but nobody dared get close.

That's strange, thought Asami.

"I'm not the only one seeing that dog, right?" Bolin rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't imagining anything.

"No, Bo." said Asami. "We all see it. I was just wondering if it was lost."

"I don't think it's lost, Asami. It looks like it is waiting for someone." said Mako

"How do you know?" Asami asked.

"If it were lost, it wouldn't be all relaxed under a tree near a huge group of people and it looks well fed and groomed", Mako pointed out.

Mako did have a point, the dog didn't look like it belonged in the streets. As they got closer to the school's entrance, they saw Mrs. Suyin on entrance duty.

"Hi, Mrs. Suyin!" said Asami as they got closer to her. Mrs. Suyin was one of the few teachers Asami, Mako and Bolin liked. She is a funny, caring, and awesome teacher.
