Whom I Never Knew [ON HOLD TEMPORARILY]

Chapter 9

Hi guys, I'm going to publish this quickly because I'm going away soon. This chapter is dedicated to bridgetsh01 for assisting me with character names ;)

My hair's red!!! Of all possible colours! Not blonde, not brown, not black, red! I spent a moment sulking, until the vampire walked over to me.

"What's wrong?" He asked, his voice filled with concern.

I scowled. "My hair's red." He only laughed.

"It looks good on you. What do you have against redheads?"

I paused for a moment, before replying. "Nothing really, but red clashes with everything, and redheads have short tempers. But more importantly, I WANTED BLACK HAIR!!!!!!!!"

He laughed again. "You... you... you do kinda ... kinda have a short temper." He said, laughing like a maniac. I scowled at him.

Noticing his mistake, he stopped laughing and looked serious for about 0.0000000000001 of a second, before his face lit up into a massive grin.

"Anyway," he began, "What's your name?"

I hesitated. Do I trust him? I guess I should. He is my mate after all. "Monica. And you?"

He held out a hand as he said; "I'm Luke. It's nice to meet you."

I placed my hand in his and, to my surprise, instead of shaking my hand, he yanked me up so I was standing in front of him. We started walking, and took turns talking about ourselves. I hadn't had so much fun in about thirty years.

"Favourite colour?"

"Red."
Luke was quizzing me on just about everything related to my life.

"If red's your favourite colour, why don't you want red hair?" He looked at me with a puzzled expression on his face. I laughed as he went slightly cross-eyed.

"If my hair is red then I can't wear red, it will clash." I started to sulk again, but Luke pulled a face, bringing my smile back.

"What about you? What's your favourite colour, Luke?"

"Blue," He thought for a moment, "Sort of an aqua colour."

"That's cool. Favorite food?"

"Human food or my food?"

"Human food."

"Pizza. You?"

"Um... pancakes."

His laughing fit started again as I stuck my tongue out.
