CHAPTER 11

Psych's POV

"Why are you avoiding me?" Agad akong nilukob ng kaba dahil sa tanong n'ya. I can't tell her.

She inched herself after she noticed that I have no plans on answering her.

"Psych." She called me and start caressing my cheek. My breath hitched as I felt her warm touch. She knows what to do.

Napapikit ako sa haplos n'ya. Her palm is so warm and soft. But, this can't be happening. Ayokong may masirang pamilya dahil saakin.

I held her hand on my cheek and slowly guide it down. Binitawan ko rin ito matapos kong ibaba sa gilid n'ya.

She's now looking at me, wondering. Her eyes are seeking for answers she can't find. We can't be like this.

"I-I have to g-go, Prof. A-Alejandro." Nagmamadaling paalam ko sakan'ya at agad na humakbang paalis sa pwesto namin. Hindi pa ako nakakalayo noong marinig kong banggitin n'ya ang pangalan ko.

"P-Psych." As I heard her voice broke, I froze in my spot. I slowly turn my back and face her.

I can see from where I am standing, her eyes. There are so many emotions wandering in her milkyway orbs.

"Prof. Alejandro?" I utter softly.

"Are you going back inside? To Miss Arceo?" She softly questioned, avoiding my gaze.

Nakonsensya naman ako dahil sa pagtangkang pag iwan ko rito. Mukha kasing ayaw pa ako nito paalisin.

"I just wanna bid my goodbye to Nest and get my things, Ma'am. After that, I'll drive you home. Will you wait me here?" I softly said to her.

Agad naman s'yang tumango at sumandal sa sasakyan n'ya. She leaned and crossed her arms on her chest.

"What are you waiting for? Go bid your goodbyes." She frowned and roll her eyes on me after saying that.

Bagsak panga naman akong napatulala sakan'ya dahil sa pagbabagong anyo nito. Bipolar ang isang 'to.

"This will be quick, Ma'am." Paalam ko at agad na umalis ng hindi hinihintay ang sagot n'ya.

Dali dali kong hinanap si Nest para magpaalam na sakan'ya. Nadatnan ko naman itong nakikipagusap sa mga magulang n'ya.

"Excuse me, Ma'am, Sir? Magpapaalam na po sana ako." Sabi ko sakanila at agad na tumingin kay Nest.

"Mom, dad, she's Rid. The one who performed earlier." Pakilala pa ni Nest saakin sa mga magulang n'ya.

They offered their hands for a handshake. I don't wanna be rude, kaya ngumiti ako rito at malugod na tinanggap ang kamay nila.

"You're impressive earlier, iha. You're welcome to visit here. Tsaka, tita and tito will do." Nakangiting sabi pa ng mommy ni Nest saakin. Kamukhang kamukha s'ya ni Nest. Just more sophisticated.

"Sure, tita. I'll do that po. Pero, I really have to go na po." Sabi ko sakanila at agad naman nila akong tinanguan at pinahatid kay Nest sa parking lot after they bid their goodbyes.

Naguusap kami ni Nest habang papunta sa parking lot, kung saan ko iniwan ang masungit na propesora ko.

"How come Miss Alejandro is here?" I curiously asked Nest.

"Her family is a very close friend of ours. Business partners ang daddy namin."

Napatango tango naman ako sa impormasyong nalaman ko.

Malapit na kami sa parking lot nang mapatigil ako sa paglalakad nang maramdaman kong hinawakan ni Nest ang kamay ko.

"Thank you talaga, Rid, ha. For coming, and for granting my request." Nakangiting pasasalamat saakin ni Nest sabay kapit sa braso ko.
