You weren't sure you'd ever be able to find a job you would be happy to go to every day, but life had this little way of joking around with you sometimes and gave you exactly what you thought you'd never be able to find.

It was a warm spring day and you were wearing your favourite sundress and walking from your car over to your boss's apartment.

Pretty much seven days a week you were over at the Hotchner residence, you spent more time there than Aaron and most people thought you were Jack's mother. Although you loved that little boy as if he was your own, you were just his nanny.

"Hello, hello," you chimed as you unlocked the door and pushed it open seeing both Aaron and Jack in the kitchen.

"(N/N)!" Jack exclaimed and jumped down from his seat running into your arms and tackling you in a hug.

"Hey, buddy! You miss me?"

"Always," he chuckled and dragged you over to the table. "Come on, dad made you a bowl of oatmeal and orange juice,"

"Oh, Mr. Hotchner, you didn't have to do that," you smiled shyly at him.

"(Y/N), how many times do I have to tell you," he placed a hand on your shoulder. "It's Aaron,"

"Aaron, right," you pressed your lips together and nodded. "You'll be back at the usual tonight?"

"Unfortunately not, there's a meeting that got moved up that I have to prepare for, if it's too much I can call Jess to come and stay with Jack after our normal time,"

"I'm sure it'll be fine," you shook your head. "We'll be in pj's and bed before eight,"

"Eight-thirty," Jack tried to bargain.

"No way Jose," you scrunched up your nose and he stuck out his tongue at you.

"I left cash on the table if you guys want to eat out," he said. "And if you need anything-,"

"Don't hesitate to call, I know the drill Mr.-"

He raised a brow at you and you chuckled a little, feeling the warmth come to your cheeks.

"Aaron," you corrected yourself.

"The guest bedroom's set up if it gets late and you just want to stay the night,"

"I'm sure we'll be all good," you said, giving Jack a thumbs up which he reciprocated. "Now go save some lives," you turned him around to face the door, pushing him in that direction.

"(N/N), what are we gonna do today?" Jack asked.

"Well, I was thinking since it's so nice outside maybe we can go out to the park and get some ice cream later,"

"Really? Is that why you wore your favourite dress?" he giggled.

"How did you know this was my favourite," you ruffled his hair a little before going to stand on the other end of the counter.

"Cause, you wear it when you're happy!" he said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"I guess you're right," you smiled, looking down at the flower-printed dress with spaghetti straps. "Now eat up, we've got a full day today,"
