"Odd, he isn't picking up," Grell said. Worried, she had attempted to call him. But her concerns vanished when the door opened less than a minute later.

"Will!" Grell exclaimed excitedly when she saw her lover walk in the door. She flew off of the couch, somehow making it all the way towards the doorway where Will was standing in just one leap. With Will gracefully catching his partner with his free arm as if he'd done this many times before, Grell threw her arms around his neck, wrapped her legs around his waist, and smashed her lips against his.

"Grell, isn't the child watching?" Will half whispered to Grell when they pulled away for a brief moment.

"Oh (Y/P) doesn't mind! It's just kissing after all. Besides, I don't think (Y/N) can see us from the couch," Grell responded before pulling Will into another long, passionate kiss.

The truth was you should see them clearly from where you were. You looked away when you saw the two kiss. Being as young as you were, you failed to understand why grown-ups liked kissing so much. The idea of you kissing someone else when you were a grown up yourself made you shudder.

Will finally put Grell down and began to head towards the kitchen, only to almost trip over one of Grell's heels still laying around on the floor.

"How many times do I have to ask you to leave your shoes by the door?" Will sighed.

"Hmm... I don't know!" Grell shrugged. She beamed cheekily. "Perhaps one of these days when I feel it."

"And you do know we have a coat hanger, right?" Will pointed out when he saw Grell's overcoat laying against the wall as well.

"I suppose we do," Grell said.

Will adjusted his glasses. "Fortunately for you, I can never be annoyed with you for too long even if I try."

"That's only because you are just the sweetest man ever! I can never ask for a better man in my life!" Anyone looking directly at Grell could practically see the hearts in her eyes. She hugged herself as she continued to swoon over her lover like a schoolgirl.

"I do try my best," Will said. "By the way, are we eating in the dining room or outside? I know we normally eat outside, but it's pretty dark now."

"Probably here in the dining room. There has been a slight accident outside earlier..."

"Let me guess, you broke another plate again."

"Two plates." Grell looked slightly embarrassed.

"Please clean it up soon, before someone gets cut walking out there. At this point, we might as well just buy paper plates since you keep breaking all of our glass ones."

"Will I get a treat if I do it as soon as tomorrow!?" Grell asked hopefully.

Will paused for several seconds, knowing exactly what kind of treat Grell was referring to. "Yes. Shall dinner start now?" He set the bag of boxes of food on the table.

"Yes, but first!" Grell clapped her hands together. "It's time for the big introduction!" She took Will's hand and pulled him into the living room.

"(Y/N)," Grell said to you. "Meet your new father!"

Will's whole body immediately stiffened. Both of yours did. The images of that stoic man before you and the word "father" did not sit well with you.

"I-It's a bit early for that title, isn't it?" Will managed to say.

"Nonsense!" Grell adoringly but roughly pinched Will's cheek, not caring that he was wincing in pain from Grell's grip. "You make such a cute father! Now, come on you two! Interact!" She finally let go of her husband's cheek.

Both of you looked at each other. After a moment, Will approached you and held out his hand.

"Hello, I am William T. Spears. I hope you're taking a liking to your stay here so far."

You awkwardly took his hand and you both did a brief handshake. Something you've personally never done before.

"Awww look at you too bonding already!" Grell cheered. "Alright, let's eat now before we all disappear from hunger! Come on, (Y/N)!"

Soon, all three of you were seated at the table eating your supper with Grell dominating the conversation.

"It was such a big day for the both of us!" Grell said to Will. "I brought (Y/N) home and showed (Y/P) around. As you can see, (Y/N) is now in the clothes we got for (Y/P) instead of those dreadful ones from (Y/P) old life! Didn't I tell you you'd like your new clothes better, (Y/N)?"

"Yes, they're very comfortable!" You agreed. It was true. The clothes you were wearing were nicer.

"And then (Y/N) and I ate lunch outside," Grell continued to ramble. "It was such a lovely day so it would be a sin not to. After that, (Y/N) went to take (Y/P) nap. That's when I tried to make that pie, the same way you made it last week but then... Well, you know what happened." She giggled.

"It sounds like you two had quite a day," Will commented as he ate.

"It was indeed. Now, tell me all about your day!"

Will then talked about some things that happened at work, none of which interested you. To be honest, the only person that would ever be interested was his redheaded wife who eagerly listened to his dull rambles. The attention was shifted away from you, which gave you the chance to observe Will.

The more you looked at him, the more you didn't see how Grell could love someone like that. You didn't even like him one bit. His facial expression remained almost the same since he walked in. You still had memories of him years back and you didn't remember him so much as smile. When he spoke, his voice was monotone. Even now, all he ever talked about was work. Even to your young self, it was extremely clear that he had no interest in being a parent to you. But you were okay with that. You didn't need him as a parent.

As long as you had a mother like Grell, you were perfectly fine.

After dinner was eaten, Will said, "Well, I suppose I should get ready for bed now." He stood from his chair and headed towards the stairs.

"Oh, already?" Grell sounded disappointed.

"I'm afraid so," Will said as he was ascending. "It's been a long day for me. It's late and I have to go back to work early tomorrow."

"Hmm... well that's just a shame. I was going to send (Y/N) to bed so that we can have our nightly quality time, but I suppose (Y/N) can join me instead tonight."

Will paused for a moment, regretting his decision to go to bed early. For some reason, he assumed that you were going to be hanging around the both of them while he tried to have his usual alone time with his lover. It was refreshing for him to know that Grell truly was not going to throw everything away for a child.

But it was too late to change his mind now. He realized that perhaps it was for the best. He wasn't lying when he said that he had a long day, and his fatigue was catching up to him the closer he got to his and Grell's bedroom. Normally, he'd take a shower before bed but he decided that this time he would just do it in the morning.

He shut the door behind him when he finally entered the room. The peaceful darkness and silence from the room embraced him. He changed into a pair of pajamas that consisted of a long-sleeved button up shirt and matching pants. Sleep immediately took over the moment he crawled into bed and laid his head on the pillow.
