"mom!" She continues knocking
I get up and walk slowly to the door and open it.
"mom hey you forgot to pick me up from the bus"
"shit im so sorry sweetie. Your dad made me stay home today to sleep because i didnt sleep lastnight and i forgot to set an alarm im so sorry i'll make it up to you."

I hug her "How was school?"

"Okay" I limp to the couch and lay down.
"are you okay mom?" Ella asks putting her stuff by the stairs and grabbing something to eat.
"Yeah my feet and back hurt. I ordered a foot spa/ massager because i keep dropping hints to your dad but he doesn't offer to massage them." I grab my phone and order a back massager.
Ella laughs a little, "well did you get to sleep?"
"Yes I slept until your dad came home for lunch and then i slowly fell asleep again".
"oh okay, well at least you slept" she says sitting next to me.
"yeah" I say smiling "What are you eating?"
"nutella sandwich."

"you want one?"she asks.
"Yes please."
"okay" she gets up and makes me one.
I send Doug a picture of my mouth, well my lips.
Ella comes back "here you go".

"snacks, drinks, anything?"

"no i think we'll be good"

"what would you like for dinner?"

"so cole has a date?" Ella asks.
"Yes with a girl from school."

"yeah, i was a little surprised, because i haven't heard him talk about girls."

"But im going to put my opinion aside until i meet her." I look at the time when i hear the door again.
Its Cole he looks a little down as he goes upstairs.

"yeah that might be a good idea..." i see Cole and I quickly get up and run after him
"Cole what's wrong?"
"it doesnt matter. I'll wait until dad's home".
"Cole you can talk to me, you know that right?"
"Well Aubrey, the girl I like, might be moving to North Carolina to get away from her dad, thats a 35 hour drive."
"Cole...listen do you guys really like each other?"
"Well I really like her. I think she likes me back, i mean she gave me permission to look at her."
"Cole, you guys will always be together, you can always call or text. Maybe she could stay here so she doesn't have to deal with her dad".
"Yeah I told her I would ask if she could move in" Cole says.
"oh okay so there's no need to worry, if she needs to she will".
"Yeah but im worried what mom and dad will say."
"maybe they'll be okay with it, seeing her situation it's understandable, just say it plain and straight out and if you don't get the response that you want don't be hurt okay?"
"Okay thanks Ella."

I go to the kitchen and Ella walks back downstairs.
I look in the fridge and freezer.
"mom what are you doing?"
"Looking for something for dinner".
"oh okay"
"I dont know what time your dad will be home."
"yeah" she says as Doug opens the front door

I bite my lip and i cant help but smirk as i hear his footsteps.

"hey princess" i say hugging Ella looking at Kamala's ass. She can clearly feel my eyes on her ass because she giggles innocently. I look back at Ella "so how was your day princess?"
"It was okay, I was supposed to hang out with nelieah but she had to help her mom".
"aww dang i'm sorry, well at least you had a good day".

I sigh "fine, ill think of something."
Doug smirks "i'll be in our room" he says walking away.
I make chicken and veggie quesadilla's "Dinners ready" I call to everyone.
Doug comes out of our room with a smirk and Ella and Cole come downstairs.
"Enjoy. I'm going to bed, im not hungry."
"oh okay" Doug says eating one.
I walk away to our room.

I look at Dad.
"what?" he asks.
I look down "nothing sorry."
"buddy what's up?"
I take a deep breath then quietly say "Aubrey might be leaving."
"Where?"
"She might be moving to North Carolina to live with her mom because her dads an asshole" I say playing with my food.
"oh im sorry Cole"
"Yeah, so i was wondering if maybe she could live with us..."
"live!? Cole that's a big ask umm, she can visit when she needs too but live might be an over step"
"oh okay".
Dad takes a deep breath and gets up, he puts his plate in the dishwasher.
"goodnight you guys, get some sleep. i love you both"
When he walks away I sigh and text Aubrey, *"Hey my Dad said you can stay here when you need to."*
