Kongpob stares at his phone screen where a familar name is flashing but instead of picking up, he cuts off the call like he had been doing past 7 days and goes back to studying the case file. He has just gotten through the first 2 two lines, when his cellphone pinged, alerting of a notification. He was going to check it when it chimed again and Anurak's name flashes again on his screen. His raised hand halted in air before he retreated it back and disregarded the texts of the younger one, just like his calls. His phone kept on tinkling every now and then and each time, he paid no heed to it.

"For God's sake Kongpob!!!, pick your call dammit!!! You are disturbing me. Either answer it or switch it off", Phoenix snapped, earning a glare from his fellow mate.

The young officer turns red in embarrassment at being called out and switches off his phone instantly. He can feel stares of his fellow officers but made no effort to make eye contact.

"Phoenix, you should not -

"I am sorry", Kongpob apologises, stopping Prem from whatever he was going to say. The younger one shakes his head, signing the elder to not say anything, making Prem huff and puff.
Bowing his head in apology, aware that he is letting his personal issues disrupt his professional life. He goes back to Phoenix to ask forgiveness but before he could open his mouth and say anything, his fellow officer is storming out of their cabin.

"He is behaving like a ass!", Prem grumbles, earning a disapproving look from Bright and Knott.

"You know very well that that's not the case Prem", Bright chastised his friend. "Ming's wedding has broken him completely and-

"I know I know', Prem interrupts," but it doesn't lessen the fact that he is being a dickhead to Kongpob"

Kongpob sits back in his chair, letting the other converse as his mind drifts back to the incident which led him to avoid Anurak at all cost.

Kongpob jumps away in scarce, at the sudden back hug and looks over his shoulder in alarm, only to sigh in respite after finding the younger one with eyes closed, resting his head over his shoulder bridge, his face pressed in the crook of his neck.

Gently stroking the golden locks, he goes back to the chopping board and starts to slice the remaining zucchini to put in the vegetable soup.

"Go and wash off. P'Arthit will be here soon. I have some work at office so he will accompany you to the doctor.", Kongpob informs the later, stirring the beef broth before scooping it and bringing it to his lips. Nodding in approval after tasting it. It had been 2 weeks since the night car accident happened. Injuries of the younger one has healed. Anurak also has his cast off 3 days back.

"Anurak, go and get ready for your visit", Kongpob nudges the other to move away before extracting himself from the hold and makes his way to the dining table. Leaving the younger one to trail behind him.

"Are you cold?? Why are you being so clingy today?", the elder one chuckles when he finds himself getting hugged from Anurak once again.

"You are leaving today. I don't like it", Anurak whined like a child, which only made Kongpob giggle.

"Well...", the elder drawled, turned into the embrace and faces the sulking kid," now that you are all healed and don't need any assistance, I need to go. So, why being pouty??? What are you? A two year old??? Or a puppy??"

Anurak lifts his gaze and stares straight in eyes of Kongpob who stopped chuckling instantly. There was just something unfamiliar in those eyes. The younger one's gaze is uncommonly intense and.......intimidating. Kongpob has never dreamt that one day he would use the I word to describe other's eyes but somehow he is. The way black orbs has pinned to his, it is unnerving and unsettling.
