Dawn | chapter 4

LittleAlii and Sparklelilies were eliminated in the last two rounds and I was still only in the bottom-three once. If that isn't an achievement, I don't know what is.

In the previous round, Karl joined the call and was given the chance to ask a question. "Why should I like you for Alex?" He asked, to which I bluntly answered, "Because I'd gladly share him with you and Sapnap." I genuinely would. It's amazing how they kept their friendship and this polygamy bit this long, it just never got old, I guess. They have such a great dynamic and a closeness that was hard to contend.

There were six of us left and the tension just got stronger when Boze and Autumn fought. I'm not sure what it was about but that was the only time I saw Autumn so irked. "You better stop or else you won't only get a scene but a whole Broadway musical," that was intense, I had to wipe my sweat before it went in my eye —if that hasn't happened to you yet, consider yourself lucky because it feels like your eyeballs are being burned.

Before we could proceed to the next question, Quincy made a query that opened a very interesting conversation. "It was said that you could not do Love or Host in a long time because you were in a relationship with someone and you've recently broken up. If that's true, are you over her?" For the first time today, I saw Quackity's grin fall. His smile was suddenly wiped off his face and what replaced it was a look of annoyance.

The expression he had etched on his features told the story instead: it was true. I didn't want to believe in rumors but the way he's reacting right now says a lot. "I'd rather not comment on my personal life on stream," he said in a low tone that made my hair stand on end. But then he quickly recovers, "Oh no no no no, for that you're in the bottom-three, for that you're in the bottom-three." He said with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes and with gritted teeth at the close end. He's good at hiding whatever he is feeling and the chat didn't seem to notice he was off.

The round continued with a usual question from Austin, "Who do you think will not be a good match for Mr. Quackster?"

Everything seemed to have gotten a little personal when Autumn chose Boze, saying, "Her love for violence will probably leave you or both of you dead in the house." It was concise but was enough to stir a more aggressive reaction from the other girl.

"I was going to choose Dr. Dead here but now I think both of you won't be a good match for him," Boze spat, lifting one leg up to her chest. "You're too uptight. You can sing with him but you can't have fun with him."

A very awkward silence came while the chat spammed messages that ran between the lines of 'whoa drama' and 'girl fight.'

Nina and Blushi chose Quincy, maybe to avoid engaging with the two livid girls. Quincy, who wasn't feeling so hot after riling up the very person we were trying to please chose me.

"Umm, this isn't easy to say because, Autumn," I started. I know this isn't the smartest decision I've made in my life but this is a thought that has been bothering me for quite a while now. Two hours into this stream and she just didn't seem like she actually liked Quackity. "You're sweet and wonderful, I hate to explain the scientific side of things, but according to psychology, when we laugh, which we had done so many times by now, we look at someone we genuinely like," I squeezed my thighs together and stared at the pen I had on my desk. "You've been looking elsewhere, not the screen, but something somewhere in your room. What is it that you are looking at to your left?"

Autumn's eyes widened slightly and quickly shifted to her periphery. And again there is that knocking thought that told me there is definitely someone there with her.
