Joc says, “Your dad is the only guy she will ever be with. She never told him she loved him and when he had left to go fight and didn’t come back, she cried hard she would have shut down, but she had focus on rising you boys. When we had lost your grandpa to that drunk teenager your dad was the one who kept her from shutting down. Your dad will always be the one for her. She will never allow another man to try to take his place. She hides the fact she is lonely that she missed him.”

Nicholas says, “A lot of the kids tell us she doesn’t know who our dad is because she slept around with everyone.”

Joc tells them, “They wish they were your dad. Your dad was the only guy for her. Everyone could tell they had eyes only for each other. She was scared to get her heart broken so they were fwb. Your father never has broke it.”

Alexander asks him, “Did he love her?”

Joc smiles and tells them, “She is his queen. Anyone could see they loved each other. He would tell people she was his girlfriend, his lover.”

Nicholas says, “What was he like?”

Joc tell them, “He was strong and he cared for people. He is a protector he is a friend.  He is someone you could count on. I am glad to have known him.”

Alexander says, “I wish he would come home.”

They are quiet. I grab the necklace on my neck. Michael brought it for me on our one year of making love. I rarely take it off out of fear of losing it.

Out of fear for our sons and them I sacrifice my heart to keep them safe. I do hide how much it hurts me to be away from Michael.

There are dragons who are very much against the fact I know about them. I am a human. Their existence is not known to everyone. Their existence is heavy guard. Due to their dislike of me I would never trust them to never hurt me while I was pregnant with the boys.

Michael had made it very clear no one was to harm me and if they try Michael would deal with them. A few of them had tried and Michael had kick them out of the clan. This was before he became the leader. The alpha of the clan.

The worse time I was hurt by a member of the clan was when I had accidently ran into him spilling my drink on him. I had apologized to him and he had back handed me onto the ground hard. When Michael had seen my cheek red, he had lost his temper. He had demand to know who had strike an innocent. When the idiot told Michael he had done it. Michael had punch him. The idiot flew backwards into a tree. Michael went after him. The idiot had called on his dragon. I cry out in fear that him would hurt Michael badly. Zacharias held on to me to keep me from getting into the middle of the fight.

I always cry and held onto Michael when he won the fight. He would dry my eyes. I would doctor his wounds. Maddox would purr at me trying to comfort.

He would fight to the death for our sons and me without question. The clan would fight for our sons. They like me but I am not their Alpha’s mate. They follow a complete different set of rules laws. They follow a code it is a major part of who they are.

I know it is not the boys’ fault. Their dragons are slowly merging. It is normal for a young dragon’s emotions to be all over the place.

Nicholas says, “We better get going to get school.”

Alexander says, “Maybe we can cook dinner for her.”

Joc says, “I think that is a good idea.”

I hear the boys stop outside of my door, “We are sorry momma. We love you.”

I don’t answer them. I can hear the boys walk out of the front door. They walk down the stairs. They are heading to school.
