Chapter Twenty-Eight

Michael holds me to him. I am laying my head on his chest. He lifts me up in his arms.

"Leave us be for awhile please." Michael walks us in the house.

Michael sits me on the counter top, "Pet, we need to talk."

I play with a button on his shirt, "K?"

Michael says, "Seems we have drawl some attention from important people in our world."

I pause for a minute and tell him, "I meant it I rather die than be without you."

He holds me by the base of my neck, "No one would dare try."

I relax in his hold, "They think there is something about you that is very special."

I whisper it, "That is what he had said to me."

I look into his eyes, "We should tell them to leave."

Michael asks me, "Why should we have them leave?"

I tell him, "Because they make me uneasy. Some of them are not being truthful on why they are here."

Michael says, "No, they aren't which why I had assigned more guards to watch over the house."

I tell him, "These lands are our clan's lands. They should leave."

Michael says teasing me, "You just want me to yourself. Admit it to me."

I reply to him, "You know I always want you, Michael."

He tells me, "As I always want you."

I ask him, "Would you like a glass of wine?"

Michael smirks and says, "If I didn't know any better I would say you are trying to get me drunk and in your bed."

I laugh lightly at that, "I mean once I am done with my lady stuff most definitely."

Michael asks me, "How are you feeling?"

I touch his arm, "I am doing okay as I can be."

Michael signs, "If you need a day I can have Mom watch the girls and we can take a day to our selves."

I smile at him as a take a sip on my wine, "Maybe later on when they are a bit older."

Michael says, "Seeing you with them brings me much joy. I am happy."

I tell him, "I am happy to Michael more than I could have say. I have a family. You had kept your promise to me."

He is about to ask me which promise because he has made a few to me, "When you had taken me to my senior prom. You had promise me you would wait for me to be ready."

Michael smiles and says, "I remember telling you that."

I ask him, "How are we going to do this?"

Michael says, "We take it day bye day."

I shake my head, "Not this about our mate status."

Michael says, "Now is not the time for us to claim you."

I ask him, "But when will it be our time?"

Michael asks, "Why are you in a rush for?"

I shut the glass down, "I am afraid due to me having twins and triplets someone might try to take me away."

I hide my face in my head, "Hey look at me please."

I look up in his eyes, "Maddox and I would never let that happen either would our clan or our brother clans."
