Kyria's point of view

Leaving young Ashoka to pilot the shuttle, I took my secret husband to the back. I had missed his presence, and I intended to enjoy every moment with him.

I could tell by his pout that he was dying to take the controls. This amused me and gently tugged at his sleeve

Me: Is it the lack of trust or the fact that I'm leaving him, one of your personal pleasures?

Anakin: Both.

I laughed, at his pout. He was so cute. I got to my feet and gave him a tender kiss, to bring him some comfort. He stared at me with his deep blue eyes, with a satisfied glint. Smiling, I sat down on a chair in front of a round holographic table. He sat next to me, his right arm wrapped around me in a firm embrace. I quickly snuggled in, enjoying his warm, soothing touch.

Me: How long has it been since we've seen each other?

Anakin: Too long for me.

I looked at him, with a little teasing smile

Me: You still haven't learned patience, have you?

Anakin smiling: Don't come and tell me you didn't miss me, either?

Me, sighing: Oh yes, you do, Anakin. And this war...it's so terrible.

Anakin: I understand. But if it can bring about a lasting peace...

Me: At the cost of how much death and destruction? What state will the Republic be in afterwards? And the Order? I don't know if they're acting like Jedi or generals anymore.

Anakin: Let's not go into that again, please. I want to make the most of this time with you.

Me: You're right. This war is already taking up too much of our time.

He placed a soft kiss on my forehead, while stroking my hair with his natural hand. I closed my eyes, enjoying this moment so restful.

Me: What do you want to do after this war is over?

Anakin: I'd like to start a family.

Me: Anakin...

Anakin, sighing: I know. We're Jedis! I'm just telling you what I want. Aren't you?

Me: I wouldn't mind. But, our status makes it complicated.

Anakin: We'll see, when the war is over.

Me: Yes...

I didn't want to fall asleep. Unfortunately, sleep came, reminding me of the sleepless nights at the front.

Anakin's point of view

I gently laid her head on the chair where I was sitting before covering it with a blanket. I continued to look at her tenderly, stroking her hair. I noticed that they kept their elegant curls and her lips still had that special color. Delicately, I went down to see the japor extract, seeing that it was in the same state as years ago. Showing how much she cared for it, it warmed my heart. I then let go, to caress her right hand, where the glove hid her ring, symbol of our secret marriage. I kissed tenderly her lips, to show her my love.

Me, whispering: Sleep well, my angel.

Then I got up and went to the cockpit. My apprentice was sitting up, keeping watch while we were still at light speed.
