Anakin's point of view

The people most dear to my life, gathered in one place, within reach of my protection. But Kyria's condition worried me. She seemed out of it, not focused on what was going on. Suddenly, we were shaken and I saw red lasers pass right by us. One of our neighbors was not so lucky and the burning ship lost attitude and crashed. Let's hope the occupants are lucky. That was enough to warn us of the danger of our situation.

Obi-Wan: Watch out!

As he delivered his warning, my master switched off his sword, staring at the environment with concentration. We obeyed at once, though Kyria's gesture seemed more automatic than conscious.

Obi-Wan: Stay focused, Anakin!

My master's voice brought me back to the reality of the situation, and I put Kyria's absence aside. For now. Turning my gaze, I noticed pillars of energy. By aiming at the right place, we could knock them down, while saving missiles. Fortunately, a quick glance told me where to strike

Anakin: Aim a little above the energy cells!

The troopers obeyed, and soon missiles exploded at that sensitive spot, knocking over two columns and crushing droids.

Obi-Wan: Well done, my young padawan!

I couldn't help but smile proudly at the praise of the man I considered my father. I glanced at Kyria, who seemed to stare at the troop deployments with a bitter feeling. I could see her clutching the strap as tears escaped from her eyes. Why was she acting like that?

Kyria : I have failed...to prevent this war...Now...everything will happen

Obi-Wan: Not yet, Kyria! There is hope. If we stop the Count!

My master seemed to know the subject of my beloved's torment. I wish I knew what it was about.

Kyria: No, Obi-wan...I saw it. And then the destruction...the suffering...and the coming of that shadow, with its chilling breath.

Me: We will stop this, Kyria.

Padme: All of us can still stop this war.

This seemed to calm her slightly, by the way she smiled. But I could see she wasn't completely calm.

Padmé: I'll talk to her. Try to stay focused so we don't get shot.

I nodded, hoping my friend would find the words to bring her back. In the distance, I could see spherical ships taking off. Despite our missiles, they didn't seem to slow them down. I gritted my teeth to hide my frustration at this failure. Suddenly, we noticed Dooku, on his speeder, escorted by two light ships, with two spikes in the shape of needles, with a sphere in the middle where there was probably the pilot.

Me: It's Dooku! Shoot him!

Clone pilot: We're out of missiles!

Me: Don't drop it!

Padme: Aren't we asking for support?

Obi-wan: No, it's too late! Anakin, Kyria and I will take care of it!

Hopefully Kyria would come around... However, I couldn't help but feel a thrill run through me, eager to avenge our dead brothers and sisters in arms, because of this man.

Soon, we found ourselves under fire from the Count's escort. The pilot did his best to avoid them, but the shots were getting closer and closer to us. One of the impacts came closer, almost knocking us over. But I heard Padme's scream, forcing me to turn. I tried to react, but it was too late to stop her from falling, along with Kyria and a clone.
