Vader's point of view

I was told about the capture of a rebel and I immediately went down. Relying on the Force, I could recognize Luke's aura. A mixture of comforting and destructive heat. It disturbed me to feel such a mixture. In the elevator leading me to the floor below the landing ramp, I could feel the sadness wash over me. Kyria is gone and I will hand my son over to that snake, who will turn him into a faithful guard dog. Just like me, once. Afterwards, he will do the same for Shmi and Leia, before making them kill each other, for his perverse pleasure. Once the door opened, I ran away from these unpleasant thoughts and feelings and prepared myself for the interview with my son.

I to the men: Wait for my orders

Then I went out and faced my son. Handcuffed, he was escorted by an officer and three stormtroopers. The officer told me nothing more than I already knew. I dismissed him, ordering him to bring his companions. He did so, leaving me alone with my son

Me: The Emperor has been waiting for you for a long time

Luke: I know, Father.

I turned my head, feeling a little comfort in my heart, knowing that one of my twins had accepted. Though it wasn't the hardest to convince. Still, it was better than nothing. Maybe Shmi had a hand in it.

Me: So, you accepted the truth.

Luke: What I have accepted is that you were once Anakin Skywalker, my father

Me: That name, means nothing, to me anymore!

I tried to show contempt for my former name, bringing back painful memories. However, my son stared at me calmly, cruelly reminding me of his mother with his eyes.

Luke: Really, Father? Then why are you so keen on having us around? Especially, Mother?

I remained silent at this statement, feeling disarmed.

Luke: I know there is good in you. The Emperor didn't completely erase it

He turned his back to me as I stared at his lightsaber. I was impressed with his expertise, though the sword reminded me viciously of Obi...Kenobi's. I was not listening to my son, caught up in a memory with my beloved

Kyria: There has always been some Vader in Anakin Skywalker. I realized this, thinking about it in the days after I woke up. Therefore...

Then she put her right hand to my chest, smiling

Kyria: I know there is still some Anakin Skywalker in Darth Vader.

Me: You're wrong.

Kyria: Really? Then who loves me? Who wants to have their family around at all costs? To protect them? Would it be Vader or Anakin? Or both?

Once again, I felt confusion in my heart. Was it Vader or Anakin Skywalker who wanted his family?

Trying to forget this internal conflict, I turned on my son's saber. An emerald green light revealed itself to me, reminding me of my past with Ahsoka when she was my apprentice. Memories of our many adventures came flooding back. A time now lost, forever.

Me: I see you have forged a new lightsaber...

I continued to inspect my son's work, both proud and saddened by the strength of the weapon.

Me: You have completed your training

Like the feeling that my time was up. So little time passed and already here is the end...I turned off the sword and stared at the trees in the distance.
