Kyria's point of view
I stared at Breha and Padmé, knowing full well that the Senators or their relatives would be potential targets for the Separatist forces. The priority was to get to safety.
Me: Padmé, Breha...We should find a safe place to hide. We might as well forget the Senate, as it's likely to be one of their priority targets.
Luke: I agree with Madame.
Padmé: Then let's stay here. Gathering at the same point will only make their task easier.
My friend had a point. Senators weren't really fighters like her. Even my brother. Wait, speaking of him...
Me: Breha, where's Bail?
Breha: He must be in the Senate.
Without thinking, I hurried to a speeder. I wasn't going to leave my brother in such a situation, without doing anything.
I could feel the presence of my children jumping backwards, before I launched myself in the direction of the Senate chamber.
Luke: Mr. Kyria, what are you doing?
Me: I'm going to save my brother.
Luke: This isn't reasonable. You're pregnant, I remind you.
Me: I won't abandon my brother without trying something!
Leia: I understand, Mr. Kyria. But you must act with caution. You're in no condition to fight. We'll help you as best we can.
So, at last, I arrived in front of the Senate chamber and held out my hand to use the Force to find out where my brother was. I could see that he was with a group of senators, gathered in a room. Determined, I followed the Force to save my elder brother. As I made my way towards the large structure that resembled a lamp, with its rounded top and base serving as a support. No sooner had we entered, than we already found some battle droids. These turned towards us, blaster rifles outstretched. However, I pushed them violently with the Force, before they could even fire, causing them to slam violently into the wall. I continued my advance towards my brother, taking out my lightsabers. I advanced cautiously, trying not to be detected, my children close behind me.
Leia: We could destroy them.
Me: The less noticeable, the better.
So I waited for the droids to pass us by, while I saw blue lasers answering the separatists' red ones. No doubt the clone garrison posted in defense of the building, fighting against the invaders. Waving, we slipped discreetly behind them and entered an elevator. Leia pressed a button and the doors closed, allowing us to see the clone troops fighting with the separatists in a struggle to retake the building and rescue the senators.
Me curious: Are you sure?
Leia: Trust me, Mother. The building hasn't changed much, in our future.
Me: Were you a senator?
I stared at her intently, while she looked away. In a gesture closely resembling my sand warrior. She wasn't our daughter for nothing.
Me: Leia?
Leia: It's not important, Mother.
It just confirmed what I'd been thinking. How could my daughter become a senator? I didn't know what to make of it, knowing my dislike. Was it Bail's fault? I wouldn't be surprised if it was. Finally, the bell rang and the door opened into the corridor. My children switched on their lightsabers, protecting me from the fire coming from all sides as I advanced towards the room where the senators were imprisoned.
