Meanwhile in the Whammy's house, Light has risen. He's stressed just like his boyfriend. They think about their son every second of a day. He sucks on his lower lip and notices that his hands are getting sweaty. Then he turns and sees the hallway where Matt Mello and Near used to play. He lets out a deep sigh and sees the picture he had with Near on his neck with a big smile on his face and that they were running through the halls together. They had the greatest fun. Sad and stressed, he heaves a deep sigh and looks out the window again. Then Light and Misa hear the door open. Light turns and sees his boyfriend and the father of his child. Ryuzaki looks at him with his cute panda eyes:
"Do you have any news from Near?".
"No honey".

When it's 11:44 PM, Light looks at his watch. Then he looks at his boyfriend who is sitting in his chair and staring at the screen of his laptop. "Let's go home sweetie." Ryuzaki looks at him without saying anything. "It's very late .... and you are tired .... and you need to rest". Ryuzaki nods and swallows a big lump in his throat.

Light hears Ryuzaki let out a deep sigh and he lays his head limp on Light's chest.

It is pitch dark outside. And Ryuzaki looks at the dark blue sky. Light puts an arm over him and looks at the one his boyfriend is looking at.

And they walk towards Light's car.
