Parents in law

Near is back at work with his colleagues, Ryuzaki and Light.

He sits on the floor making a tower of playing cards until he sees the picture of Mihael again.

He swallows a big lump in his throat when he thinks again how incredibly handsome he is!.

He takes the photo.

And then suddenly recalls the drawing he drew of his parents when he was 11 years old.

He runs out of the room and asks Watari to take him to the Whammys house.

Watari looks at him and nods: "Of course Near".

Near smiles, "Thank you" and follows him to his car.

Sit in his car with him and Watari drives to the Whammy house.

Near jumps out of the car and runs inside. Then quickly sees the door of Mihael's old bedroom and opens the door and walks inside.

His old bedroom is very dark and quiet.

The bedroom window is still open.

Near heaves a deep sigh as he looks at his bed.

Then he sees the drawing he was looking for on his old desk.

He walks over to it and takes the drawing that Mihael drew when he was only 11.

He swallows a big lump in his throat as he looks at his parents.

Mihael drew them what he thought his parents would look like.

I want to find his parents!

I'm also curious who they are!

And he takes the drawing and walks out again.

Watari who is in the car looks at him questioningly as he sits down next to him again.

"What have you got now?".

Near Watari shows the drawing: "This".

"Who's on it?...did you draw that when you were a bit smaller?".

Near shakes his head violently: "No...Mihael".

"Mihael?".

Near nods.

"Who are on that drawing?...which two people are those?".

"He's drawn his parents... he's drawn his parents the way he thinks they look."

Watari nods: "Your parents were both killed, right?".

Near swallows a big lump in his throat and then looks away and sits back in his car seat again: "Yes".

Watari also swallows a big lump in his throat: "I'm so sorry Near".

Then Near takes a deep breath: "But at least I want to try to find Mihael's parents."

"Because...do you think they're still alive?".

"Actually I think so...so I think that Mihael is not even an orphan but that his parents are still alive".

Watari nods and then he drives back to Near's workplace.

There they see Halle standing outside. She waves friendly to the old man and the cute 18-year-old boy.

Near thanks Watari for the ride and gets out of his car and walks towards Halle.

Halle also looks at him questioningly: "What have you got there?".

"This is an old drawing of Mihael...his parents are on it".

"His parents?".

Near nods: "Yep...I think they're still alive and I plan to find them and reunite them with Mihael."
