We'll meet again.

The only thing he remembers of the massacre was the jam. It was everywhere, on his armour, in his hair, on his face, in his mouth- it was all he could feel. that, and the grip of the sword, ever-present. He tried to drop it, but he couldn't.

Don't know where, don't know when.

He felt the slash though. His eye hurt like it was on fire. His vision, though blurred, cleared of the dark clouds from moments before. The glint of the blade, the silhouette of his father...

He barely registered the words, but knew what they ment.

But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.

He had stumbled out of the kingdom a ruined, broken man. His crown and worth stripped away in an istant and he was left with a cursed sword.

Just keep smiling through.

It had told him this was all he had left. All he could do. The darkness became his cloak, his burden to bare. It suffocated the pain through the relentless missions and taxxing long days. Even if some people were "nice" to him it never left. The pain.

Just like you always do.

But in this moment, as the sun peeks though the clouds on the day of his master's defeat, he let himself wonder. Maybe, if he tried, the sword would stop. He would be free. He could live on a little farm, maybe with someone. Pretend everything was okay.

Till the skys drive the dark clouds far away.

Choco could dream he supposed.
