The city's flickering lamps lit the streets in an eerie glow. Barely anyone was out tonight and unlike Almonds many nights in Parfaidia, this was normal. It was a breath of fresh air compared to the busy place he used to live, and being on the front lines was nowhere near as straining. He can spend time for himself and with his daughter without feeling guilty or getting called in every damn time. Tonight was actually the first time he has gotten a call about something actually weird in this kingdom, and that was saying something.
A late-night jogger called in, saying there was a strange barking sound in a residential area, followed by banging. they also said that garbage bags were torn open and litter was everywhere like something had been going through them, and the cookie said that they thought they saw the small thing dash away.
Almond arrives at the scene alone in the darkness, trash collected at his feet in the grass.
Something ripped open a trash bag.
Something dangerous.
