Diana's POV:

I was sitting alone in the school cafeteria and then I spotted Laura
"Hello Laura!" I yelled and waved.
"Hey Diana, I have to tell you something crazy that happened yesterday." She said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"You know, I was in the cafeteria and then suddenly, out of nowhere, Jim started talking to me, I didn't knew what to say so I just said 'I have to go.' Ugh I'm literally so stupid. I can't even act normal around him."
I hold in my laugh and tried to look serious.
"Oh my god Diana! Maybe he's in love with me." Laura said.
"Maybe..." I said even though I knew he wasn't.
"I'm so jealous of the girls that have been together with Jim, they're so lucky, maybe it's gonna be me someday." Laura whispered.
"Mmh." I just said.
"You aren't talking so much today, Is everything okay?" Laura asked.
"Yeah sure. Everything is fine." I answered.
"Hey!" It was a voice behind me, I turning around and some girls stood there. They pushed Laura away from the table and sat around me. "What's up girl?" They asked.
It was the 'mean girls' group. Everyone hated them, I've never really talked to them so I'm gonna give it a shot.
"Hey, I'm Diana." I said.
"Yeah we know." They said and laughed.
How the fuck does they know my name?
"So, Diana. I think it's better if you stick with us, not Laura, she's such a nerd." They laughed. Laura walked away, i tried to stop her but she pushed my hands away.
"Diana? Do you have a crush on someone?" One of the mean girls asked.
Why does everyone keep asking me that? And I don't even know those girls.
"N-no I don't." I just said.
"How boring. I know there's someone that you like." They looked at me.
"Oh c'mon Sophie, she said she doesn't like anyone." One of the mean girls said.
Okay, so the "leader" of the group is called Sophie, I mean that's a start.
I was sitting in my own thoughts but then I heard Sophie mentioned 'Jim'
"What?" I asked.
"I was just talking about Jim." Sophie said.
"What about him?" I asked.
"Well I just said that he's the hottest guy in our school."
"Are we talking about Jim Carroll?" I asked.
"Yeah, do you know him?"
"N-no, I mean I've heard about him before." I stuttered.
"Don't you think he's the hottest?" Sophie asked.
"I- I don't know, maybe."
"So Diana, tell me, are you a virgin?"
Why the hell do people keep asking me that question?
"No." I said.
"Uhh, who took your virginity?" One of the girls asked.
"Uhm, I think I'll keep it to myself." I said and looked down.
"No, tell us! We're friends now! You can share anything with us."
Friends? I hardly know them.
"I can't tell ya, I'm sorry."
"Why not? Is it embarrassing?" Sophie asked.
"No it's not, I just don't wanna tell you."
"Fine, whatever." She rolled eyes at me.
"Hello sunshine!"
It was a voice behind me. Shit! I could hear it was Jim, oh no.
"Heyy Jim." Sophie asked and bite lips.
"Uh, I'm not talking to you, who are you even?" Jim said.
"You don't know me?" She raised her eyebrows.
"No?" Jim said.
"Well I'm practically the queen of the school."
"Uhm okay?"
"Wait, if you wasn't talking to me, who was you talking to then?" She asked with a suspicious look.
"Diana, I was talking to Diana." Jim said.
"Diana? Why?" Sophie asked.
I crossed fingers under the table.
"Cause she's my friend."
"You don't call friends 'sunshine'." Sophie said.
"I call my friends what I want." Jim said.
"Just admit it Jim! You have something going on with Diana!"
"Ugh, just shut up. And how do you even know my name." Jim said upset.
"Uh- uhm..." Sophie stuttered.
"Yeah, that's what I thought." Jim rolled eyes at her.
"I'll talk to you later." He said to me and squeezed my hand. I didn't answered.
"Diana, what was that all about?" Sophie asked.
"Nothing, it's nothing."
"Are you really sure about that? Because it seems like you have something with Jim."
"I don't." I said.
"Stop being so boring we know you guys have something for each other."
"Okay fine! We do, we're good friends."
"Alright. But not more than friends, right Diana?."
"Yeah yeah, we're just friends."
Yeah I know I was lying but what if those girls found out that Jim took my virginity or that we are together almost everyday? I would definitely get it trouble.
The bell rang, Lunch was over.
I went to my next class, I had science.
The time went by real fast.
The school was finally over and I had to get home, because I was really tired.
When i got home I went straight to my bed.
"Why are you running? Are you hiding something or?" It was my foster mom. She was the last person I wanted to talk with right now, I just wanna get some sleep.

When I got up, my foster mom sat on my bed, I got a huge shock.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"You're out."
"What?..."
"You're out." She said and left the room.
What does she mean by that? Am I out of the house again? But I didn't do anything.
I ran out to the kitchen and asked. "What do you mean by 'you're out'?"
"I think you know Diana."
"No! I don't. I haven't done anything, why are you kicking me out again?"
She left the room.
I sighed and walked back to my room, I had to get ready for school. The sun weren't up yet.
I got ready and ate breakfast, I left the house without saying a word to my foster mom.
"Hey Diana! Wait for me." I stopped up and looked behind me. It was Jim.
"Hey." I said.
"Are you taking the bus today?" He asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"Me too, let's sit together." Jim said.
"Whatever." I said and started walking.
"Are you alright Diana?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about me." I said and looked down. Jim hugged me.

We got into the bus and found two seats.
"Why were you sitting with the mean girls yesterday?" He suddenly asked.
"I don't know, they just came and sit down next to me."
"Yesterday while you had science, I had math with the mean girls, they're literally so dumb. They can't even multiply. But they're actually kinda fun to hang out with." He said.
"Oh, okay." I said.
They were funny to hang out with? What does he mean by that?
