A Shy Kiss

Chapter 21

The holiday went by quickly. The food was aplenty to the point that it covered most of the table, and your family played music afterward to dance the night away. Tamaki was nervous to dance so instead he led you to the kitchen where he held you close and began to sway a little. You smiled as he tried to take control; his hands nervously crept down to your waist, having you sway along with him. When the music began to pick up though he was a little lost. So instead you began to lead a little, showing him some footwork to fall into a rhythm together. The kitchen was quiet mostly, except the music coming from the backyard sounding like a soft tune for you both.

Your family partied till around 2am, and one by one your family said their goodbyes until it was just your parents, Tamaki, and you. You both decided to clean up a little while your parents went straight to bed. The night was wonderful, and a bit exhausting from the food and dancing.

The trip ended sooner than expected. You said your goodbyes, but not before your dad made you call the school to verify a plan of action they have created to keep students safe. They mentioned that for now the classes would resume in person for a few days until they can transfer everything to online courses so students can stay off campus if they prefer. Your parents were hesitant but you insisted it would be alright. Your classes are mostly in the morning and your job is also in the morning on the weekdays you don't have class so you won't be out at night. And Tamaki's classes are also not at night and his work is already online so he'll be safe.

Your parents reluctantly accepted this, reminding you both that their home is open to you both if anything happens. You hugged them goodbye and headed back to your apartment. Tamaki was nervous of going back, and frankly you felt the same.

As soon as the entire group was back on campus they headed to your apartment. It was starting to become a safe zone for the group. A place you could all calm down and be off campus, drink something warm to soothe your nerves, and talk of anything to forget what was going on around them. They began talking about their vacations one by one, savoring the few days of normalcy. As they went on about their holidays you made some food with Tama by your side. Well technically he prepared the meal, pounding round slices of pork until the were thin. He battered them and fried them, making a hearty katsudon while you worked on a strawberry pie. You noticed that both you and Tamaki had gained a little weight. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it was slightly noticeable. How could it not be though? You two found comfort in your meals, trying new recipes and snacks to distract you both from the frenzy going on around campus.

After the meal everyone began to say their goodbyes. The sun was setting sooner now that December approaches so the group believed it best to leave before it got dark, the evening posing a threat to the entire student body now.

Hagakure stayed behind however, sharing coursework with Tsu since they shared a class together. Hagakure needed help on it so she stayed until it late at night. Worried to go to the dorms alone, Tamaki offered to drive her to her dorm building. He was heading back soon anyways so he kissed you good night before driving Hagakure.

The following day she went missing. Just like Bakugo. The group immediately called for another meeting, this time early in the morning. What was strange however, was that the message was sent in a new group chat. It had everyone from the previous group chat. Except for Bakugo and Hagakure.

And Tamaki.

You squinted at the screen, unsure if you were imagining it. Did they forget Tamaki was in the group chat?
