A Shy Kiss

Chapter 5

After the meal, you wash the plates as you tell him to get comfy so you guys can watch something. After washing plates you washed a few grapes and placed them in a bowl to share. You set them down on the coffee table before sitting next to him. You both nervously scan through disney plus, keeping in mind how close you two are.

"Um, how about the lion king?"

"S-Sure." He says. You click on it before grabbing a grape. As the movie progresses you two slowly get more comfortable. He leans back on the couch and you grab a blanket to keep you warm. As the movie goes on you can't help but sing along to Hakuna Matata. Tamaki smiles a little and joins in. He has a soft voice, but it's beautiful.

"You sing beautifully Tamaki." He smiled nervously before saying "I don't usually sing, but you make me feel comfortable."

"I'm glad." You smiled. You turned back to watch the movie and rain began to slowly fall and tap against the window. The sound of rainfall slowly rocked Tamaki to sleep, and you soon after. You slowly slid along the couch until your sleeping self was leaning against Tamaki. You both napped the afternoon away, snuggled closer together unknowingly.

It wasn't until a loud ringtone could be heard that you two were startled awake. The end credits played as Tamaki scrambled to answer his phone.

"Hello? Mirio?"

"Yeah, you okay Tam Tam? You haven't been at the dorms so I just wanted to be sure you're okay."

"I'm okay Mirio, I'm still at Y/N's apartment."

"Okay, be careful when you head back the rain is getting pretty bad."

"I will, thanks. Bye." He hung up and turned to see you stretching a little on the couch, trying to wake yourself up after a pleasant nap.

"That was nice of Mirio to check on you."

"Yeah, I should probably head back."

"Okay, I'll give you a ride since the rain is pretty bad." You hopped up and went to grab your jacket and umbrella as Tamaki went to put on his shoes.

"I hope you don't mind," you interjected. "But I only have one umbrella."

"Oh, that's okay." He said, hiding the fact that he's slightly blushing about the idea of being so close to you under an umbrella. Would it be okay if he wrapped his arm around you to stay close? Oh God no, just the thought is making his hands sweaty and his heart beat faster.

You asked if he was ready before you opened the door to head downstairs. You opened the umbrella and stayed close, keeping each other dry.

"Thank you for cooking today Tamaki. It was awesome!"

"N-no worries. I'm glad you l-liked it."

"I'm just starting to cook on my own so I'm my menu is usually pretty limited. So today was a real treat!"

"I could...cook for you again. If you'd like."

"I'd love that! But I'd have to make a dessert as a thank you. I'm no cook but I've been baking since I was a kid."

"I could tell, the croissant was delicious."

"Thanks! Hearing that from a culinary student means so much."

"Well I only cook, I never studied baking."

"Oh okay, maybe...um, maybe, as a thank you, I could show you how to make a dessert."

He clenched his hands, trying not to shake from nerves and excitement at the offer. "I-I'd like that."

"Great!" Soon you both reached the parking lot and drove to campus. You offered your umbrella to him but he declined before running off to his dorm to avoid the storm. You softly sigh before heading back home. Today was pretty magical. And you'll see him again! And he doesn't have a girlfriend!!!

'Baby steps Y/N, we don't wanna scare him away either.' You reminded yourself as you drove home.
