Chapter 6

"Soooo Tam Tam, how was the date?" Said Mirio. Mirio texted Nejire about Tamaki's impromptu date and she dashed over to gossip about it with Mirio.

Tamaki was flustered and red in the face as he muttered "wasn't a date."

"Correction." Said Nejire. "If you eat and watch a movie with a person you like, and you end up CUDDLING, it's a date." Tamaki's little heart was beating so fast he let his mind explode as he fell onto his bed face first.

A date? Was it really a date? I didn't feel nervous though. Aren't dates supposed to give you butterflies and make you all sweaty? If it was a date, then...does Y/N think it was a date too? Oh god what if she only said yes so I wouldn't feel bad?! What if she-

"Earth to Tamaki. You okay?" Asked Nejire.

He sat up on his bed before slumping his shoulders. "I thought dates give you butterflies."

"You'd be surprised." Said Mirio. "You only get that feeling if you're really nervous. Real love and romance is more calm and relaxing. If you didn't feel butterflies it's because you could relax around her."

"Yeah! Ooh are you going to see her again?"

"I'm not sure Nejire."

"Why not?"

"What if she....she doesn't like me?" The pair wrapped their arms around Tamaki and held him gently while being sympathetic.

"I say you gotta give it a chance Tama. You don't have to confess, but it'd be good for you to get to know her more." Said Mirio, for once in a serious tone. Tamaki nodded, feeling a little more courageous at the thought of seeing Y/N more. She was...sweet. She was patient to his shyness, and fun, and cute and....and he wanted to see her again.

It had been over a week since you and Tamaki had seen each other. And it was getting to the both of you. To make matters worse, he found you on facebook but was too nervous to send a friend request. You found him on Snapchat but you were also too nervous to send a friend request. You both stared hard at your phones before falling back on your respective beds in aggravation. You decided to listen to the immortalized words of Bakugo Katsuki: "fuck it."

You closed your eyes as you sent the friend request and tossed the phone as if it burned in your hands. You squeaked once you heard a notification come from your phone not even a minute later. You scramble to grab the phone and see: he accepted the friend request. You couldn't help the girlish squeal you made as you excitedly sent him a message.

Well, how are classes going?

Brilliant, the lamest question in all existence. Rule number one of University: never ask a student how classes are going. They're not going great. They are suffering through lectures and panicking through labs and hands on lessons. Alas, you couldn't think of anything else to ask.

You tossed the phone as you plopped on the bed. How could you be so stupid!

"It's date." You muttered to yourself sarcastically. Now he's gonna be all weirded out.

In fact quite the opposite. Tamaki had his phone shaking in his hands as he trembled from rereading the text. If like were like an anime, he'd have hearts in his eyes by now.

"A d-d-date?" He felt his little heart beat so fast he covered his face with the pillow, letting out a tiny squeal of happiness. He couldn't wait for Saturday.
