A old friend (5)

This guy who's coming, ajax he's a friend from highschool.

He was popular whole I was an outcast totally the opposite of each each other but we were similar in an odd way,
When we were together strangely we could laugh off any and all bad things so I was thinking I'd like to have a carefree chat with him again.

"I see" xiao replied, to the truth I had another objective
I hoped that the relationship between me and xiao would make a misunderstanding towards Childe
it was a pathetic hope but just once before I died I wanted to taste the feeling of having a handsome boyfriend bragging to about it to other friends.

"Hey mr observer I've a got a request.."

"Excuse me are you ready to order?" the waiter asked interrupting me
"Sure, coffee for me please."
"I'll get right on it"

"You okay not ordering anything?" you ask xiao, he looks at you strangely before saying "umm you should refrain from talking to me when in public.."
"What, is that a problem?"

"I believe I did explain to you from the start but we'll you see the presence of us observers are only available to who we are observing and cannot be seen by others."
Xiao touches the girl's waitress shoulder
"Any touch I give to other people cannot be sensed."

"The point being, you look like you are talking to air whenever you talk with me."

The waitress looked scared as you were talking to Xiao
"So... your request was?"
"forget it" you replied to him

Maybe I won't meet with Childe after all..You said in your mind while drinking coffee you suddenly hear the door open to see Childe
"welcome!" the workers greeted

Childe waves at you "Hey y/n! long time no see, you been doing good?"

"Yeah pretty good"
Childe sits down across you also ordering a cup of coffee
by the time we'd told each other how things were going we started speaking candidly with one another as if we were back in highschool
as we laugh about pointless topics
I was able to forget my approaching death.

Until that came out of his mouth, I'd say things were going good if he didn't mention that

"By the way Y/n.. Do you still draw at all?"
You were abit taken back
"I uh.. nah I haven't done any drawing ever  since I got to college."

"Thought so" ajax replied
"If you were still drawing I'd probably be unsuccessful right now" Childe said before laughing

that's one thing you can't laugh at, True I gave up on it but still it doesn't mean it was okay you could laugh at it.

And I thought you'd at least would have understood that, I say in my mind before lighting a cigarette.

"Now then let's compare expectations." Xiao says

"Be quiet." you replied to him
As Childe was talking about random stuff you were listening to xiao's word

"It would seem you've come to hate Mr ajax a bit, but in truth Childe isn't as fond of you as you believe it is."

"originally you would have met Childe two years from now similarly today but a minor thing would lead to you two arguing ending with you and him angrily parting with each other."

"You should cut it off soon with him before it turns that way, nothing good will come of placing your hopes in this man."

You stay silent as the crowd of people was talking and ajax was still going about how you could have been a famous and could have caused him to fail at art school if you had never quit
