Starry sky (13)

On the way home you spot a store that sells albums and cameras.

You immediately run towards it while Xiao follows behind you, the store clerk seems to be an old man.
"welcome!" the old man says
"We have here some vintage old cameras, feel free to buy anything that catches your eye."

"Wouldn't it be awesome to buy a camera and capture our memories together?"
Xiao stays quietly, thinking about something.

"Hey Xiao?" you wave at his face
"Sorry, I was just wondering where will you get your money from since you're broke."

"Oh right.. I forgot about that whoops."

The old man glances at you having concerned look before tapping your shoulder getting your attention "Excuse me young man/lady,
but is there someone there?"

"Yes there is!" you happily reply not caring if anyone saw you as insane or crazy
"His name is xiao and I was just talking to him about what to buy."

The old man nods but his facial expression gives away just how little he understood even sort of giving a disturbed look.
"I see.. well go on then I won't disturb you."

Xiao looks down, seemingly upset to see people look at you as a crazy person or a lunatic cause of him.

"It seems like we can't buy anything huh.." you say in a disappointing tone
"Oh well, let's just go home now."

Arriving home, you look through your old things and find an old stretch book you grab a pencil
while Xiao just sits in a corner and grabs a notebook and writes things down as usual.

After some time, you were still looking through your old things trying to find some color materials.
You glance at Xiao who seems to have fallen asleep.
You then quietly get near him and started drawing his facial features,
He looked like a prince.

After finishing the drawing, you decide to draw xiao as a cat.
And then finishing that drawing you close your old stretchbook.

You look out the window not realizing it was night already,
You decide to call it a night and make your bed
and go to sleep but before that you make sure to put some blanket on Xiao.

Y/n gets awakened from the sound of the door creaking,
Y/n groggily looks over to see Xiao carrying some things.

"Hm? you're finally awake.
goodmorning."

Xiao then puts the things he was carrying on a table near your drawing materials.

"Goodmorning." Y/n replies while yawning
Getting up, they stretch their body
before curiously staring at the package xiao put on the table.

"Go ahead open it up."
Xiao says leaning on a wall with his arms crossed, looking away from you.
Was he embarrassed? Y/n thinks.

Y/n then starts to open up the package grabbing a brand new camera with an album book.

"It's for you since you're too broke to buy it." 

"That's strange.. why am I crying??"
Y/n says, as they feel their eyes getting teary

"Huh??" Xiao reacts panicking and quickly coming over to wipe your tears.

"Don't cry, Im sorry did I do something wrong?"

You shake your head reassuring Xiao he didn't do anything wrong.
"No I'm sorry, I just.. it was my first time ever receiving something like this and couldn't help but cry tears of joy. thank you Xiao."
