You and albedo stare at each other for a while,
it felt as if time has stopped
the noises from the crowd has turn into silence.. just albedo's footsteps nearing you as you were still dazed at his appearance
His hair had grown and was loose
unlike his old hairstyle which was mostly braided
He was wearing some oversized sweater paired with oversized jeans.

He paused for a moment eyeing you down
"What are you doing here..?"
Albedo asks

"oh.. I was just passing by, and decided to go here who would have thought I would meet you here haha.."
You laugh awkwardly knowing full well you were spitting lies and that you were actually waiting for him and waiting to give him the money you had received.

"Is that so, well shall we sit then?, it may be uncomfortable to talk while in a public space."
He says with a gentle smile you adored so much

You nod before going inside the shrine sitting down to relive the memories with him, unknownly to you a certain someone is watching feeling an emotion they are very familiar with.

Xiao's Pov-

As I wait in the long line, my thoughts had wandered into thinking about y/n
At first I only thought of them as another client but somehow I can feel a sense of familiarity in them like I have met them before
I tried to think of the good points they have which is not a lot compared to their flaws

I sigh knowing full well their heart is set on someone else, hell why did I even fall for that fool

After a while it was finally my turn to order, I tried to talk to the stand seller but I realized as long as I am with a client I am still invisible to people

I grab two plates of almond tofu before walking off, not minding to pay as I don't have any yen on me right now

I was going back to the shrine but my heart suddenly stopped when I saw that y/n and mr albedo are happily enjoying each others company.

It made me realize how I'm not really that much special to y/n and I'm no more than some kind of reaper monitoring their actions before they die

Its strange really, I should be happy that my client has finally achieved one of their life goals but I can't help but feel bitter..
I look down at the ground before sitting down near listening in to their conversations

After albedo and I reunited I can actually barely remember what we talking about
That's how excited I was,
I was probably talking without thinking

But it didn't matter what we talking about since for me to carry on a conversation with albedo without pausing him to be responding equally was enough for me

I didn't seem he had come to see the festival but it was actually due to his work and happened to be parked near the shrine so he ending up passing thru.

"I'd love to talk longer but I have to get up early in the morning."

"Oh.. okay, well wanna get a drink sometimes?"

"Alcohols no good, but a meal would be nice"

"Sure thing" you nod before waving him goodbye
Promising to meet for dinner in two days, we parted ways

"Well that was nice, I hadn't expect things to go that way myself."
You hear a certain someone say as you leave the shrine

You had stared Xiao for a bit noticing that he seemed a little more down than usual
You go near him before putting a piece of hair behind his ears so you can see his face.
"Hey you okay? I'm used to see a depressed look on your princely face but this is a different kind of gloomy."
