The next morning, Rose woke up feeling the best she'd ever been. Perhaps it was because Avonmora still had yet to return home, or perhaps it was because she would be seeing a certain someone again today. Ichabod hadn't left her mind at all. He even appeared in her dreams.

Oh, he was so handsome...he was sweet...he smelled like chocolate.

Charlie noticed that she seemed extra cheerful this morning. As they did their morning chores, she just wouldn't stop singing and humming. It made Charlie happy, to see his sister like this. She's never been happy before. Sure, she'd act like she was, for Charlie's sake, but he knew she was just putting up a front for him.

But now? It seemed like her happiness was genuine. And it was all because of this man, Ichabod Crane. Charlie remembered seeing Ichabod in the market one day. He hoped that something would happen between the two of them. Rose deserved it.

"Are you coming with me today, Charlie?" Rose asked, basket in hand. Her cherry picking basket. "I'm sure the sisters three would love to see you"

"You want me to come?" Charlie asked. "I thought you were going to meet Ichabod today. I don't want to get in the middle of that"

"Charlie, you'll always mean more to me than any man does" Rose smiled at her brother. She ran a hand through his hair. "Besides, Ichabod seems to like you. I'm sure he wouldn't mind"

Charlie grinned. "Okay, I'll come"

"Great! Pack anything you want to take with you" Rose told him.

When the two of them stepped out of the house, for once, Rose wasn't ambushed by Harry. It was a relief. At least she wouldn't have to put up with him today. But, little did she know, he was being held back today. And he was being held back by none other than her most trusted friend.

Priscilla got up extra early in the morning for two reasons. One, she had to make sure to get the freshest loaf of bread over to Eugene. Two, she needed to intervene before Harry made his way into the woods to try and harass Rose. She knew that his first stop would be to go to the flower shop. So, that's where Priscilla went. She sat outside the shop and waited for Harry.
