chapter 7: sibling rivalry

Trying to make up for the short chapter so maybe this one will be extra long?

You shifted your body trying to bury yourself into your bed, not feeling your covers you naturally assumed you'd kicked them off your bed again.

Not opening your eyes you stretched out your arms yawing as you did, not meeting your head board as you usually do. Rather meeting cold air, you blinked one eye open seeing nothing but gray you rubbed your eye.

Nothing changed.

You sat up straight, rerembering last night. You found yourself lying sideways on huggy, who's head was being poked by Juno; her ,of course, flinching her hand away every time huggy barred his teeth, and if not quick enough with his attempt at a deternce, got bonked between the eyes.

Noticing you awake, huggy looked at you with a sad face. His once smile a sad frown with his eyes holding a pleading look.

' Juno stop harassing huggy and go find something better to do '

Not being a morning person, you weren't ready for whatever shenanigans these two where going to ensue. You slid of his stomach and stretched, your now slightly damp clothes restricting some motion.

Izzy being nowhere in sight you guessed she went off to find food, well something edible that is.

You looked around, the sound of rain being a lot less. But still very much there.

Huggy moved over to your side and gently tapped his head against yours, letting out a small curious purr. You patted his head and scratched around the side of his face.

Looking closer at him you could see more detail, no sewing lines but daps of well hidden hot glue - blue in colour as to blend in with his fur.

Looking into his plastic eyes you swore you could see something behind them, you stopped your petting. Behind the plastic eyes you could see something move, as he turned his head towards you it hit the light just well enough that you could confidently say you saw another pair of eyes.

He titled his head, nudging your hand. You grabbed the sides of his face tilting them back to the right lighting. And low and behold there was another set of eyes; while they did look animalistic there was something strangely human about them. These eyes where set into his face, similar to his plastic eyes wideness.

You could see his pupils move about, but faintly, the plastic eyes mostly blurred anything under them.

He seemed to understand what you where analysing, letting out small chirps.

' where these glued onto you blue? '

Smaller sadder chirps emitted from him.

You'd get them off of him someday, if he allowed you that is.

Not long after your 'discovery' Izzy had came back with food. Asking how long she had been gone she replied with 'maybe a few hours'.

She was drenched once again but she had brought back pizza. that ,even though the boxes where falling apart, was still warm and she even brought back sauces and drinks too!

It was just plain cheese pizza but you couldn't complain, it tasted good and accompanied by sauces, drinks and hunger; it was probably the best pizza  you ever had.
