I'll be 100% honest with you and say that last chapter would have been more words and more tramatic but I reread it and went ' if I post this my friends will kill me '
Pretty much the old version before i changed it was, you the reader, abandoned him while he was sleeping and he spent days waiting for you to come back for him :( you never did for years.
Anyway had to change the ending a slight bit but that's okay because I would cry if I posted the old version of the chapter. I would not be mentally sound.
Anyway last chapter! And then maybe human huggy which might take me a while cause I've gotta think of plot and stuff.
Lots of time skips sorry!

If it weren't for Juno and Izzy holding you back; you would have ran to him, it didn't matter if you didn't have the space, you just couldn't leave him like that. His cries pierced your heart and made you want to comfort him. To say that it was okay and that he could join your trek back.
But you couldn't.

Snow squished under your feet leaving small foot prints behind you. Your group marched on quietly, not sure if conversation was the best idea at the moment, it left you with time to think; it left you time to think about how hours ago a childlike creature, a freak of nature, had so ever calmly rested next to you without either of you having a fear in the world.
Why hadn't you stayed longer? Where you scared to get attached to the thing? You had so many animals back home because you felt pity for them, you took one look at a stray cat venturing on the streets in the snow and snatched it, taking it back home with you, which lead to you having over 50 cats in total. Which was expensive - with all the vet bills and cat food.
Where you scared to feel pity for the creature? Worried that it might need extra care you couldn't afford or keep up with?
If you had stayed longer you could have learnt how he existed, how he was brought to life. He seemed fearful of the poppy so maybe, just maybe that would have the answers to what happened in that factory? The answers to him?
The trio moved their heads upwards taking in the scene of the sky, darkened clouds and low rumbles of thunder started to gain closer to your slower moving group.
You where still hours away from home, and even if you ran you bet the storm would halt you in your steps.
You weren't near a phone box or any willingly helping people.
Your best bet was to run home, ignoring if snow or mush fell into your shoes.

The storm had catched up quicker then you thought. The wind had picked up, dragging the thunder closer, if you didn't find shelter soon your group would once again be screwed - but this time there is no factory to hide in. And a lot worse.
Houses became more frequent but they where all burnt down, leaving no protection from the wind and rain.
Your trio became more panicked, looking for anything to provide safety from the outside.
Why did you have to go exploring when you knew the weeks weather was meant to snow and rain, why couldn't you just stay home? You'd been gone for god knows how long, your animals would be hungry.
Juno started yelling over the thunder about a shelter. Safety.
You ran as fast as you could, tripping over every bit of rumble lying on the ground.
