You woke too a quiet bang from your window.
You didn't shift or move, knowing who it was.
Slight tugging at the corner of your sheets and you mumbling a reply; did a heavy weight collapse on your bed. The weight shifted to lie comfortably next to you.
Reaching out an arm from your covers, you pet the top of huggys head, him purring in response.
In the two years he had been living here, you where just finally getting use to him climbing in through your window to get a fuss. When finding out you locked your door to your bedroom, he would stand outside no matter the weather and constantly tap and pull on the window, eventually breaking the lock to it.
Every night at around 2 am, he would come wake you up and refuse to let you sleep for about an hour before he gave up on your unenthusiastical pets and would leave to return to the new barn - which you had to build not long after he followed you back from the factory.
It was expensive. It was really expensive.
But hey, atleast he and all the cats like it; and the plus side being no more blood bugs! Though you did have to convince the exterminator huggy was just a really creepy statue.
Huggy continuosly tapped your hand, letting out small hums as he did. He always tapped your tattood side of your hand, huggy always seemed curious about it but it was nothing special, just something you got when you turned 18.
You rhythmically stoked his fur, you hadn't really been sleeping the past few days, just in and out of consciousness. You felt as though you needed a break, maybe a holiday to somewhere nice; but you'd feel mean leaving behind everyone.
You'd think about it more.
His purrs quietned down, and became less frequent - he had fallen asleep but you knew if you stopped he'd wake up and complain.
You felt tired too, a rare feeling nowadays.
You where so busy running around, trying to pay of debts and keep the farm in check that you didn't have time to feel tired. There was always something at the back of your mind, nagging and tormenting you for every task you did or didn't do.
You where just plain tired, maybe tomorrow you'd kindly ask Juno to handle the tasks while you took a day's break. You felt like you ever so needed it.
You yawned, gently cuddling into huggy.
Tomorrow you'd take a break.

Sun hit your eyes and bird sing filled your ears.
You groaned and rolled over, bumping into huggy. The two of you did not fit on your bed; it was like having a oversized dog, it needed constant attention and took up most of your personal space. And if you opened a crisp packet it would come running to your side giving you puppy dog eyes.
You pushed him of the edge and he crawled over to his side of the room - which was just a pile of pillows and whatever squishy toys he could find.
Yawning you moved over to the door, opening it and wandering off down the hall to the bathroom, you'd take a shower, get ready and then make breakfast for everyone.
Plain simple plan.

' Juno stop poking fun at huggy, it's not his fault he can't use a knife and fork '
You had made pancakes for breakfast, it was simple and only took a few minutes to set up and make. Juno, of course, had continued her 'sibling rivalry' as she liked to call it, with huggy.
They both seemed to have a mutual understanding of what it was and what to do. And multiple times as you had come home from a stressful day did you find the house torn up and them both blaming each other.
It was a mixed chaos that you couldn't escape from.
But it wasn't all bad, they seemed to overall get along.
Sadly though, Izzy had moved to a different residence. It was in the city closer to where she was working, you where happy for her though; she had worked hard for her job and she was more then thrilled when she was told she had got it.
It was sad seeing her leave, but you knew it was for the best. You did call each other regularly to see how things where.
Izzy said you had reminded her of her mother, with the way you always made sure she was okay or eating well.
I guess over the years you had taken on a 'mother' like role, but you couldn't stop yourself from bringing snacks and plasters where ever you went - they always complained of being hungry or getting themselves hurt.
Juno had also been viewing houses in the city, her idea was to secure a job and get an apartment near it.
You wished her well and couldn't be happier for her gaining independence but sadness still crept into your mind.
But hey, atleast you had huggy now. Though he did want to make frequent visits back to the factory, just to rummage around.
Life hasn't that bad, sad yes maybe, but you where doing okay, you had good friends that made sure you where okay. And you had huggy now too, when Juno leaves he'll help around the farm instead. Sure he couldn't talk but he still tried to.
That was good enough for you.
Life isn't that bad. Your doing okay.
