Chapter 17

Klaus's POV:
It has been a couple of months since the ritual, and so far my hybrids are not doing so well. When ever i turn a werewolf into a hybrid, blood starts coming out of their eyes and mouths. Its as if there was a plague set on my hybrids. I'm returning back to Mystic Falls with my sister, whom I have resurrected, with me. I need to get to the bottom of this.

R: " Niklaus, what kind of town is Mystic Falls anyway? It sounds boring."

K: "Don't worry little sister, I think you might like it."

She doesn't know it yet, but there is an old friend that I think she would just be glad to see. I have a grin on my face, hoping she doesn't see it. Wouldn't want her asking questions now would I?

We finally reached this pesky town. I thought I would finally be done with this town, but it seems like there is some unfinished business to be taken care of. I think its time to pay the Salvatore brothers a visit. As I walk in the direction of the grill knowing which Salvatore would be there, I stopped when my annoying sister called.

"Nik, why do we even have to be here?", she asked as she got out of the car and stretched her back. "Because, I have to figure out what is stopping the transformation of my hybrids. I could always re-dagger you if you want, I don't mind. Maybe I could have some peace and quite while I rip peoples heads off", I say as I walk even faster ahead. I hear her mumble a "whatever", under her breath but don't pay any mind to it. I am determined to figure out what is happening.

Elena's POV:
It has been 2 days since me and Damon last spoke. I know I shouldn't have said what I said, but it just came out. I want to talk to him. I miss him. I pick up my phone, and click on his contact, but instead of clicking "call", I just stare at his name. I put my phone on my night table and sigh. 'If only there was a way to turn back time' I think to myself. As I think, I got a call. "Caroline" it reads.

E: " Hey Care, whats up?"

C: "OMG! You forgot didn't you?! How could you forget?? We have been planning this since freshman year! SENIOR PRANK NIGHT?! Rings any bells??!! "

E: " Oh right... yeah I will meet you up at the school in a few."

C: "Ok bye"

I sighed as I hung up. How could Caroline still be so cheerful after this? I wish I had her personality, but unfortunately I don't. I am and will always be the same boring Elena, that has to always be the "troubled" one. Whatever. Not this time. I have to try and change, not for me, but for Damon and everyone else. I can't have everybody worrying about me. I need to learn how to take care of myself. Its time to get ready for this night.

Caroline's POV:
I can't believe she forgot! Has she not been listening to me for the past 4 years about senior prank night?! I mean seriously she is my best friend and all but she needs to remember important things like this, especially when all this bad stuff is happening. I wonder if she is ok though. I don't know why but I sense there is something wrong even though there is always something wrong.

I am at shop rite, getting everything that we need to make this night the most memorable night ever!! So far I have multiple rolls of paper towel, mouse traps, soda bottles, paper cups, and glue. I feel like I am forgetting something, but not to worry other people are bringing other things as well. I need to call Elena again to tell her I may be late but not by much.

It has gone to voice mail twice. That's it I am calling Damon.

D: " Damon speaking how can I help you Barbie?"

Ughh why does he have to be so annoying sometimes?? Scratch that ALL THE TIME??!!

C: " Lets just skip the hello's and get straight to the point. What happened to Elena? She hasn't been herself lately and I am getting worried about her. She probably was busy, the reason being that she didn't answer her phone, but when I did talk to her she seemed distant. Now what did you do?"

D: "Woah woah. Slow down Blondie. What makes you think I did anything to her? In fact she is doing it to herself and hurting everyone else! And besides Elena and I haven't spoken in the past 2 days, and not really in the mood to hear her " I need to keep the people I love safe" speech."

C: " For some reason I believe you. But FYI STOP CALLING ME BARBIE!"

D: "Ok.... Bye Barbie"

He hung up right before I could say something. I swear he gets on my nerves every time I talk to him!! Now I need to call Elena and get to the. bottom of this.

E: " Caroline, don't worry I am going."

C: " Why haven't you and Damon spoken in these past 2 days?"

E: "What do you think, all black clothes, or blue cardigan with white tank top and black pants?"

C: "Stop changing the subject!"

E: " Ooh maybe combat boots will make it better!"

C: "ELENA! Answer me!"

E: " Ok fine! He found out a plan I had and he got pissed at me and then I said words that I didn't mean and he got even more mad! I don't want to talk about it! Ok? I just want to get through this night and have fun. And if you can't respect my choice then don't count on me coming."

C: "Ok fine I won't ask anymore. See you tonight. Bye."

Now its time to have some fun.
