Save Me

Chapter 7

Damon's POV:

I just finished texting Stefan where we are. I really hope he comes here in time. Klaus had me chained to a rock letting be able to stand. and move my arms, but the chains were strong enough to hold me, and were full of vervain. I saw Klaus come in with Elena. He stops her and using my vampire hearing I listen to what he whispers in her ear.

K: "I'm doing you and the Salvatore's' a favor so consider yourself grateful."

E: "Thank you. Thank you for making everyone realize that there is no heart inside of you. Also, good luck trying to win Caroline's heart with your arrogant selfish killing self! We both know she would never fall for you!"

The minute Elena finished talking, Klaus, simply gave Elena a glare, and walked away.

Klaus brought in the vampire, then the werewolf and put them in their own areas. Klaus's witch lit each and every one of their areas on fire in the shape of a circle. I really couldn't focus on what was going on of the area around me, because all I kept thinking about was Elena. I had to think of something. Anything. As I kept pulling on the chains, the werewolf, Jules, fire of her circle went out. I then see Klaus walk up to her and drag her to the alter. She tried to fight but gave up knowing she would lose, when Klaus dug his hand inside her chest and ripped her heart out. I turn my head to Elena and notice the worried, and petrified face she has. She isn't looking up, instead she is looking down and that makes me concerned. When I get her out, I am going to have a talk with her about giving her life up for me. Now, the vampire, Rose,(AN: Sorry didn't know what other name to use.) fire of her circle go out. Using her vamp speed, she tried to get away, but do to her going against an original, and him being faster, you already know she is going to loose. The next thing you know is that he plunges a stake into her heart. Just as I got even more worried, I finally saw him. I can't believe I am actually going to say this. I was so happy to see that it was Stefan. Just when I thought everything was about to get better, Elena's circle with fire went out. I swear, my undead heart stopped. Klaus offered her his hand, but she rejected by getting up herself and walking to the alter. I swear if I get out of these chains I am just going to beat that arrogant smirk right off his face. I saw Stefan vamp speed over to my side and tried to come near me to take off the chains but was hard knowing Klaus would here. He is trying to think fast, when I noticed Klaus whisper something. " Thank You, Elena." I heard Klaus tell Elena using my vamp hearing. Then Klaus latched his fangs

into her neck. I felt like my world was ending. After a few minutes the color in her eyes died out, and she was gone. A few minutes after, Klaus was in transition, but something strange happened, until I saw Bonnie. I was relieved to know that he was going to end up dead. Stefan was finally able to get me out of the chains. As soon as I was released, I rushed over to Elena's side. Nothing. Absolutely no sign of life was shown in her. I picked Elena's lifeless body and brought her to the house. 20 minutes later Stefan walked in. I could see something was wrong by the worried look on his face. "What Happened?" I ask really not wanting to hear the answer.

S: "Klaus."

D: "What about Klaus, Stefan?"

S: "He's, um....

D: "Spit it out!"

S: "Gone."

D: "What do you mean gone?! Wasn't Bonnie supposed to kill him?!"

S: "Elijah saved him."

I couldn't respond. I was in utter shock and then raged with anger. Until he said the one thing that I thought I will never hear again.

S: "Elena is going to wake up."

When I heard that, my heart just skipped a beat. It can't be true. No way.

D: "How?"

S: "Bonnie did a temporary spell that makes her temporarily dead. It will take a while for her to wake up."

Now I really couldn't say anything. When he finished talking, I rushed to her side waiting for her to wake up.
