Save Me

Chapter 20

Damon's POV:

I finally made it back ti Mystic Falls. I dropped Katherine and Jeremy at the cemetery, and now am in the search of Elena. I went to her house but she wasn't there, even my house and she wasn't there. My phone starts to ring.Ugh. What does she want?

D: " What is it Blondie?"

C: "DAMON! OMG! I never thought I would be so happy to hear your voice!"

D: " Yeah yeah just get to the point."

C: "Damon, Klaus came back. Elena. Sh-She's gone. I can't find her anywhere."

D: "What do you mean gone?! Where were you?!"

C: " Klaus's sister Rebecca snapped my neck, and Klaus turned Tyler into a hybrid after giving him Elena's blood."

D: " Oh god. I think I know where she is. Got to go"

C: " WAIT! There is something you should know. Stefan was with him, and he turned it off."

D: "Dammit! Ok Caroline I have to go!"

I hung up after that. My princess. She is hurt. I knew I never should have left! I know she is at the hospital. That is the only way that he could get al of her blood with out losing any. I am practically flying. I am in the parking lot and there he is. The bastard sent from hell. I get out of my car and send him flying.

K: "Ah. I see you've found out."

D: " Where is she?! Where is she?!"

K: " Oh you know. Making a donation for a good cause like the good girl she is."

D: " You may want to rethink what you'r doing. Karma is a bitch."

Well, I guess I pissed him off as he sent me flying into a car. He vamp sped over and was about to out his hand in my chest when I knew just the thing to say.

D: " I know your scared of someone. And that someone goes by the name of Mikeal. So rethink I said."

K: " WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MIKEAL?!"

Ha! Told ya!

D: " I know that he was your abusive father. And that Katherine is about to awaken him. So you may wanna get a running start."

With that he vamp sped out of my viewing vision. Now to get my Elena.

Elena's POV:

I feel a slight pinch in my arm enough to wake me up. I open my eyes and notice a nurse injecting me with a needle. I notice that she isn't putting anything in me, but is taking my blood?

E: " Why are you taking my blood?"

N: " It is very important for your friend Klaus. Don't worry you won't feel anything soon."

I was about to protest when she injected me with a sleeping drug or something like that. My eyes feel heavy and I allow the darkness to take over.

Damon's POV:

I have been through half of the rooms and still no sign of Elena. I am getting really worried. I hope she is going to be ok. I am going room by room. There she is. My heart stops when I see the amount of blood she has lost due to the blood bags around her. I listen for a heart beat. Its very faint but its there. I speed over to her and rip out all needles from her body. She hasn't woken up yet. ( A/ N: I am not going to do it exactly like the show. I wanna change it up a bit so bare with me thanks!) Why isn't she waking up?! Oh god no. I rip into my wrist and force her to drink. So far nothing has even gone down. Finally, I feel a tiny movement along my wrist. I look down and I see her big doe eyes fluttering open. A look of fear rises but then falls when she sees me. I pick her up bridal style and take her to my house.

Elena' POV :
I can't believe he made it in time. I didn't think I would make it, but I know I am always safe when it comes to Damon. As I was still in thought, Damon walked in.

D: " Hey, how are you feeling?"

E: "Could be better you know."

D: " Yeah I know. Listen Elena I just wanted to say-"

E: " Where were you? You weren't there when I needed you the most. I know what I said was wrong. I just I feel like I am a bother to everyone and that everyone would be better without me. Ever since the accident, everybody that I love and close to get hurt, and I didn't want that to be you. I thought maybe if I was dead then everyone will be at ease, and there would be no more deaths. So I understand if you don't want to see me again. But I felt hurt that you weren't there to save me at the right time."

D: " Elena. Look at me. Dammit Elena please look at me. You are NOT a bother to anyone. And it is not your fault that everyone dies. It isn't. If you died, no one will be put at ease. Everybody would be hysteric. They would be heartbroken. And why would you think that I would never want to see you again? Elena, I love you and no one else. I know me leaving was a bit harsh, but you have to understand that what you said hurt me a lot. I can't imagine a world without you. And you have no idea how bad I feel for not being there for you today. I was trying to figure out a way to scare Klaus away before he would come back, not even having any clue that he was already back. Elena, when I saw you in that hospital bed hardly breathing and not moving, I thought I was never going to survive. But then you woke and my life lit up again. I promise you, I would never leave your sight again."

I felt much better hearing that from him. Who knew that one person can change my mood in 5 minutes? I think I love Damon more than I ever loved Stefan. Oh God. Stefan. What is Damon going to do with him? He doesn't know that it was Stefan that attacked me. I need to tell him.

E: " Thanks. And Damon? It wasn't Klaus that drank from me."

D: "Then who was it?!"

E: " It was-"

S: "Me! Well isn't this cozy?"

E: " St-Stefan? What are you doing here?!"

S: "Klaus sent me to keep an eye on you. To make sure that you don't kill yourself before he comes beck for you."

D: " Well too late brother. She already has someone watching out for her."

S: " And look how that turned out. Anyway good night."

Oh god. He is here to stay.
