That same day, after Avalon's first therapy session, she received a call from Carly, suggesting they meet up for coffee. Avalon wasn't the type to turn down the offer for coffee. She also wanted to see her friend. She sat outside of an irregular cafe she didn't visit. The day was still bright outside. A slight breeze would occasionally move between the buildings.

Avalon was lost in thought. An old wound of hers was ripped open by her therapist. Inside, she wasn't at peace with the death of her friend, but there was nothing she could do to bring her back. Avalon was capable of doing lots of things with her powers from the Infinity Stones, but death was something she wasn't able to touch. It felt forbidden.

Although a notification had popped up on her phone, a text from one Bucky Barnes. For the first time, he had great timing. She heard that he was trying to make amends with those he may have hurt during his time as the Winter Soldier. When he first contacted her, she questioned if she was on the list of amends, but he reassured her that wasn't the case. He genuinely wanted to get to know her. If his best friend was once in love with her and cared for her, she had to be a good person.

Carly quietly sat her bag down on the table with Avalon, "So, I'm guessing you've heard?"

"Yeah," She said sadly. "I figured it was coming."

Avalon had the sudden feeling that she was being watched. There were hundreds of people walking around them right now. Avalon imagines that some people blame her and the rest of the Avengers for what happened with Thanos. If the Avengers were smarter, and quicker to realize what Thanos was attempting to do, he could've been stopped sooner.

In Avalon's mind, she felt the same energy as she felt when fighting against Thanos' army. The faint image of a weapon flying past her, only to hit the sorcerer behind her. She was so busy trying to keep an eye on where the Infinity Gauntlet was located that she didn't notice all the people dying around her. She felt their overwhelming pain before dying.

"Avalon!" Carly called out.

People throughout the cafe and nearby passers were watching her. Items were floating around with a purple glow. Avalon blinked a few times, realizing what she had done. She was unsure of what overcame her. The rush of different feelings was too much for her to deal with. Emotions she felt from everyone around her passed through her mind.

"Please," Avalon said in a whisper, holding her hands to her head.

"Alright, everyone, back to moving on with your day, nothing to see here!" Carly yelled out to the New Yorkers.

Avalon removed her hands from her face, "I can't keep doing this."

"Are you keeping something from me?" The concerned friend tried remaining calm, "Because it feels like you aren't you. You haven't been yourself since-"

Avalon's head snapped up, knowing what her friend was about to say, "Don't speak of it. Don't speak of him. The amount of rage I feel is unspeakable, unimaginable. Something inside me just keeps building up."

A thought went through Carly's mind her voice becoming calm, "Remember when we were kids, if you didn't use your powers, the full energy, and power of them, it would just build up and you'd have to release it. What if that is what is happening here? When was the last time you truly used your powers? You know, just letting everything out."

"6 months ago," Avalon crossed her arms, sitting back, "when everything went to hell."

"Well," Carly copied her, "there you have it. You need to release that built-up energy. Your powers have been dormant and now it's making you angry. It's just like when you were 14 all over again."
