"No!" She screamed out, sitting straight up.
Stephen Strange stood above her, backing up to give her space. "Welcome back to the land of the living, Miss Barton."
"What the hell happened?" She asked.
Wong entered the room, "Looks like Avalon sent us each into a favorite memory of ours and twisted it."
"I don't think Avalon did it, not on purpose at least." Stephen defended her. "She wouldn't."
"She would never purposely hurt anyone. She's not cruel." Bucky added. "She didn't do this."
"I want to see her," Carly demanded, with Brandr shaking her head. "Let me see Avalon."
"No, my daughter needs to be left alone. Clearly, she is not in the right state of mind." Her words took Strange by surprise. "She could hurt someone. She needs to be separated from others."
Carly had been watching the woman, keeping an eye on her body language. She didn't know the woman long, but she could tell that she was acting out of character. Bucky seemed blindsided by her, focusing on the well-being of Avalon instead. Carly squinted her eyes at the woman, Bucky taking notice of the younger girl's actions. Understanding why the young Barton was one of the current best shield agents.
"Brandr," Carly said her name, unsure of how she knew, "Or should I say, Amora?"
"What?" The group slightly backed away from the Goddess.
She snickered, "I was wondering how long it would take you to notice."
A green sparkle filled the air, Brandr's body changing into a woman with blonde hair and a slim figure. She had a smile on her face as Bucky's anger grew. Carly was surprised that this woman was able to trick a super soldier and two high-level sorcerers. Better yet, how was Carly aware of who Amora was? The woman smirked as she heard the door open, revealing Avalon in the doorway.
"Oh, hello my love," The woman said, "I was looking for you."Stephen bumped his fists together, creating a shield. "Not on my watch."
"Avalon, run," Wong warned.
"Where's my mom?" She asked, questioning who the blonde was. "What did you do to her?"
"My name is Amora," She bowed her head down.
Avalon averted her gaze, realizing that something was wrong as she reached Stephen. Surprising the woman, Avalon sent a small blast at the woman, making her back hit the wall. The unknown guest chuckled. She attempted to move forward but looked down to see whisps of energy pulling her to the wall.
Avalon's eyes glowed violet, "Anyone wanna tell me who this bitch is and what happened to my mom?"
"Amora of Asgard," Carly told her as she stepped in front of her. "She is supposed to be dead."
"She pretended to be your mother," Stephen added, who kept his eyes on the woman for any sudden movement, ready to protect Avalon.
"I must say," The woman spoke, eyes moving from Bucky to Stephen and back to Avalon. "I am impressed. You've got both of these men at your disposal. I must know, what is your secret?'
"There is no secret." Avalon glared at her, feeling uneasy. "You did something to me. What did you do?"
"Oh, nothing. Just a simple mind spell." Amora smiled as she leaned her head against the wall.
"Avalon, don't listen to her," Carly warned. "She is a liar and known to deceive."
"Sounds like someone we once knew," She sighed, "Enough with the games, again, what did you do to me? I won't ask again."
