▌Chapter 30 ─ One Shot ▌
━━━━━ STEPHANIE AND SAM ran forward jumping of the ship and onto the building. Stephanie caught onto the side, she then jumped over the railing landing on the ground. Bee moved the ship down. Stephanie pulled a gun out and stood up walking behind her brother. The two lowered down in front of the counter when they saw a few maids coming into the room.
"Ugh! I'm so sick of this. I'm just sick of waiting." Dylan said.
Stephanie made a gag noise without any sound upon hearing his voice. She looked up watching her brother stand up and hold the gun at Dylan. Stephanie stood up holding her gun out at Dylan as well.
"Where is she?" Sam asked him. He walked forward as Dylan closed the fridge. "Where is she?" He shouted.
"You've got some balls." Stephanie turned around seeing Carly walk into the room. When she did the tv turned into a Decepticon and proceeded to attack Sam. Sam tried to get him off but it was failing. The Decepticon pulled Sam away from Stephanie and Carly.
Sam shot his gun but dropped it soon after and Dylan picked it up from the ground. "Sam, no!" Carly shouted. He knocked him into the glass and dropped him. "No!, no, no!" One of Dylan's men came up to Stephanie and grabbed a hold of her restraining her and causing the gun to fall from her hands.
Stephanie smirked seeing Bee lifted Sam up in the air. Stephanie threw her head back hitting the man. She grabbed her gun and placed it back in her holster.
"Carly!" Sam shouted. She looked back to see him. "Carly!"
Stephanie ran forward jumping over the couch. She jumped onto the man and wrapped her legs around him and pulled him to the ground. Dylan watched in pure shock, Stephanie stood up and grabbed a hold of Carly's hand pulling her away from them. The two took off heading towards the edge of the building.
"Jump!" They both made it onto the ship, Sam caught Carly in her chest. When they were in the clear Bee lifted the ship up and started to shoot into the penthouse. A drone came up towards the penthouse and Laserbeak grabbed a hold of it and threw it into one of the engines. He then attacked Sam, as they started to make a crash landing down towards the ground.
Stephanie picked her foot up kicking Laserbeak but it wasn't stopping him from trying to kill Sam. Sam grabbed a hold of him and held him up slightly, while Stephanie moved out of the way.
"Bee, fire!" Sam shouted.
Bee shot Laserbeak killing the bird. Stephanie leaned forward and grabbed her brother pulling him back towards her. The two held on as the ship hit buildings and continued to spiral down towards the ground. People screamed running out of the way, trying to avoid the falling ship. The ship crashed onto the ground. Stephanie was thrown off and landed on the ground.
She coughed, her red hair had dust in it. She rolled to her side and saw her brother running towards the ship to get to Carly and Bee. Stephanie looked away and groaned slightly as she leaned up. The others were coming towards them. The redhead stood up and walked over to her brother and Carly. She proceeded to hug Carly after she and Sam had pulled away.
"I'm so glad you're okay, I don't know what Sam would've done if he had lost you." Stephanie said, sending her a soft smile.
"Good thing he had you to look after him and support his plan." Carly replied, smiling back at her.
"Yeah, he did."
Stephanie turned around looking towards the Autobots. Stephanie ran over to Hero and Caspian hugging them tightly.
"Are you okay?" Hero asked her.
"I'm okay." She replied. The three pulled away from the hug and looked at Epps as he ran over to them.
"Well, you're crazy." He said, pulling Sam into a hug.
"What is that? Is that us?" Sam asked, pointing at the drone. They then walked towards it to get a better look.
"This thing's a military UAV. Stone, check and see if it's still working." Epps said. Epps leaned down while Stephanie, Sam, and Carly stood behind him.
"Yeah, it's still got power." Stone told them.
"Flight Control, do you copy?" Epps asked. "Can... Can you rotate? Can you do something? Rotate, something. Come on, man, work! Work! Can you rotate or something?" They watched as it moved down a little. "Yes, yes! Okay, okay, okay. They can see us." Epps moved out of the way allowing the three to talk to those on the other end.
"Chicago is ground zero, do you understand? Can you hear us? You understand?" Sam asked. Carly then moved in front of him.
"Please listen. Sentinel Prime is here, and he has the pillars to his space bridge. They're on top of a building on the Chicago River. It's owned by Hotchkiss Gould Investments. Now, the pillar that controls everything is in the southeast cupola." Carly explained.
"You've got to destroy the pillar. You have to shoot down the pillar, or they're going to transport Cybertron here, do you understand?" Stephanie asked, as she explained what she knew. Stephanie stood up and walked over to Prime standing next to her brother.
"We need to move before the fighters spot us." Prime told them. "Wait here until we scout a route ahead." He turned around from them. "Let's roll." He told the Autobots.
"Ratchet, cover high."
The others were gearing up and getting their guns ready. Sam and Stephanie looked over to see a rocket launcher being held by one of the men.
"Hey, think we could use that rocket to shoot down the pillar?" Sam questioned.
"We're eight blocks away. We got to get closer to take a shot." Epps replied.
"Not closer. Higher. We need a clear line of sight."
"And it's across the river Gonna have a hell of a time trying to sneak up."
