Izuku woke up early in the morning. He wasn't usually an early riser do to his tendency to stay up all night but today he wanted to venture around his new neighborhood before going to therapy. So he go up from his futon since they haven't unpacked all his bed stuff and went to search for clothes in one of the boxes in his room.
The smaller was a little scared of going out on his own, stranger danger and all that, but he couldn't avoid it. He's almost an adult for pete sake! Izuku still worried about meeting new people though. They'll be nice at first, but if they talk to him they might start taunting him for his stuttering.
It's not like he can avoid talking to people, what if he needs help finding his way? He'll have to open his mouth and ask. Then if people start making fun of him because he embarrassed himself in front of the whole neighborhood and the rest will start hating him too.
Izuku tried to shrug it off as he put his shoes on at the genken. This place was new and not everyone is the same. So soon enough the green haired teen was outside on his porch, taking a deep breath to prepare himself for his walk.
He walked down the step and out onto the side walk. As he passed by the Bakugou house hold he heard the door open and out stepped Katsuki with a frown. It seemed like it was permanent.
Katsuki glanced at him and just nodded as he walked towards the smaller.
"Oi, you're the new extra that came over yesterday, right?" The blonde asked as he approached the other which made the him slightly flinch, not expecting him to say anything
Izuku nodded promptly.
"Y- yes. Um... H- hi Ba- Bakugou..." He replied nervously glancing away from the tallerKatsuki then nodded, looking him up and down before asking.
"How old are you? You look younger than me."Izuku stayed still for a moment before replying.
"Oh, I- I'm ei- eighteen." He said, trying his best not to stutterKatsuki proudly smirked.
"Ha! I'm nineteen." He said looking smug as he crossed his arms"So, what should I call you extra?" The blonde rose an eyebrow
Izuku frowned a small bit at being called an "extra." Does he call everyone that? Is he just generally rude?
"You gonna answer me?" Katsuki questioned narrowing his eyes
Izuku flinched again.
"I-Izuku is fi-fine." The smaller answered"Hm. I think i'll stick with Deku." Katsuki shrugged
"D- deku?!" Izuku said looking hurt
This guy was taunting him. He's calling him Deku and Deku means useless. What did he even do to piss this guy off?
Katsuki nodded.
"Yea, think of it as a nickname. I do it to all my friends." He told the shorter"Fri- friends?" Izuku said looking into his red eyes then glanced away
"We're neighbors. Figured we'd be friendly at least." Katsuki shrugged as he shoved his hands into his pockets
"O- oh... th- then you c- an c- c- all me Deku... I guess." Izuku glanced to the ground
Maybe he wasn't so bad? Does he really call his friends mean names too? How do they deal with it? Do they accept it or protest it?
"Was going to anyways." Katsuki smirked
The shorter seemed hesitant to ask, but he still tried to speak.
"Um... by- by the w- way... I- if you- you're older than m- me, does- does t-that me- mean y- you've gra- duated?" He wanted to get to know the other, whether he's rude or not
