Chapter 44: Question

"S- so, wh- why a- are yo- you h- here Kac - Kacchan?" He asked after a few moments of silence

Here it is, Katsuki thought. He's been planning to ask Izuku for the longest time but hell, is he nervous which isn't normal for him! He doesn't want to rush it too much but it's also just a date. A date with Izuku... the boy he likes...

"Uh..." Katsuki muttered, hesitating as Izuku tilted his head to the side

Fuck it.

"So, I just thought I could ask you something. Are you free some time this week?" He asked

"Oh, y- yeah! I a- am ac- actually f- free thi- this we- weekend." Izuku answered with a smile

"Sounds great. Then... would you care to go to a date with me?" Katsuki questioned, looking expectant. Their previous date went great but he wanted more of those, he wants him to say yes but of course, he's not going to pressure him.

Izuku blushed at the question and turned away shyly.

Cute. Katsuki said to himself while softly smiling.

"Da- date? A- are yo- you s- sure you wa- want to g- go o- on a d- date wi- with me?" The smaller asked as he fiddled with his fingers nervously

"Of course I do, Izuku. I really enjoyed that first one we had and I always enjoy it every time you're near me so yeah." Katsuki smoothly answered

"Re- really?" Izuku asked once again, feeling a bit more confident but still embarrassed

"Really." Katsuki stated
"But 'f course, you can say no if you wanna. No pressure." He added, like the gentleman that he was

Izuku thought about it more. He likes Katsuki, a lot! There's nothing wrong with going to dates right? That means he's okay with being seen with his little stuttering self around other people. He finds that really relieving somehow.

"Yes." Izuku answered, sounding quite confidently

"I- I wa- wanna go o- on tha- that da- date wi- with y- you." He added, finally looking at Katsuki and giving him that small but genuine smile

Katsuki smiled back and then pulled Izuku to a sudden but warm hug which the smaller reciprocated back with a little, very adorable giggle of his.

"Thanks 'Zuku, you won't regret it. I'll make it the best date you'd ever have." The blonde stated making the greenette giggle some more

"I ha- haven't b- been in a- any o- other da- dates t- though, Kacchan." Izuku said

"We- well, b- besides our p- previous o- one." He added
"Y- you we- were my f- first date."

Katsuki chuckled.
"Well then, I'll be the first and the second, third, so on and so forth cause all of those will be the fuckin' best cause you deserve all the best shit in this whole fucking world." He declared

That one made Izuku laugh but also feel embarrassed once again. He hid into Katsuki's chest and laughed against his warmth.

God, if that didn't make the blonde's heart stop beating for a quick second back there. It was too fucking cute, too precious, too much but damn, was it so welcomed by his rock solid heart that was definitely started to melt into a puddle the more he sees this very cute of a human being. He's certainly doing things to him.

"T- thank you, Ka- Kacchan." Izuku muttered against his chest as he looked up at him while they still hugged

"Don't thank me just yet, Greenie. Haven't given you the best date ever." Katsuki joked

"But no problem, I really mean it." He said a bit more seriously

Izuku smiled at the blonde then bravely yet also shyly kissed Katsuki's cheek. It was a quick touch of his soft lips against the blonde's warm cheek but the latter definitely felt like his world stopped for a bit until he was pulled back from his thoughts and looked at the smaller.

"Fuck, you're too cute." Katsuki muttered but he thought he was only thinking it

The greenette blushed as he buried his face into the blonde's chest once more.

"M no- not!" He whined

"Yes you fucking are, now no more rebuttals and let's get eating so I can help ya with your homework." Katsuki stated and decided to kiss the smaller's temple lightly

Izuku was blushing so much more when he pulled back but obediently nodded at the suggestion.

"Good boy." Katsuki smiled and they proceeded to eat

While eating, they would chat as much as they like and are comfortable with and Izuku would get enough courage through it all then would decide to feed Katsuki at certain times which caught the blonde by surprise at times but welcomed the simple but sweet gesture coming from the smaller. It would soon progress to them just feeding each other until they finished all of their food. Katsuki volunteered to clean up once again which Izuku heavily opposed to but before he knew it, the mess was gone because the blonde did it while they argued who was doing it which made him pout and Katsuki only chuckled. He went to the kitchen to clean up then went back to Izuku's room so they could finish his homework since he was helping him with it. The greenette appreciated the help since he was struggling at some things. Thankfully, Katsuki was really smart and was able to teach Izuku how to do this and that until they were all done and the smaller realized how easy it had been. When he finished, he gave the blonde a big, tight hug and thanked him for what he did for him.

"Don't mention it, Izuku. Was glad I could help." Katsuki replied as he hugged the smaller back and patted his back

"S- still, you he- helped m- me a to- ton t- today." Izuku said
"Ca- can't t- thank y- you en- enough."

"Well, you saying yes to my question about the date was more than enough, so don't worry 'bout it, okay?" The blonde told him

Izuku smiled and shyly nodded.

Inko and Toshinori soon went back home so Katsuki decided to go home also. He didn't want to leave the smaller alone so he just thought it'd be better if he waits for them to get back home.

He greeted the two by the door and then bid goodbye a minute later. Of course, to Izuku also. Katsuki waved then went on his merry way home. It was a great day, can't wait for the weekend and so could Izuku.

I am gravely sorry for not being able to update for like a week or two because of my exams but I'm now back! (I aced the tests btw, they were so fucking hard 😭😭😭)

I decided to publish this today after a whole week of examinations! I will post the other one tomorrow then will soon get back to regular updating schedule of the 2nd cour of the story which is on every Friday! See ya tomorrow and have a great one!
