Chapter 16: 'Love' Talk

"Okay Shitty Hair, listen and listen good cause I ain't repeating this." Katsuki said, looking at his redheaded friend sharply

"Uh sure, that's what I'm here for anyway." Eijirou replied with a shrug

"'Kay, so I'm not ready for another relationship. Pretty sure you know that, but this has been... bugging me for a while." Katsuki started with a sigh

"Let it all out bro, I'm listening." Eijirou told him, internally the redhead loved broments like this

"Y'know my previous relationship... didn't go well, which is an understatement, but whatever. It's in the past and I don't want that shit to happen again." Katsuki added

"I know man that guy wasn't great at all and I'm still mad at you for choosing that guy. I told you we all had bad vibes from him." Eijirou said half joking

"Shuddup, but yeah, that bastard was a jerk and I regret dating him. It was a waste of my damn time. I'm glad he's out of my fucking life." Katsuki said as the other nodded

The blonde sighed looking down.

"But the thing is, I'm scared to commit to another relationship again..." He muttered

The redhead most likely knew the answer, but he waited for the other to continue.

"You know I hate fuckers like that him, but this guy... I- I don't fucking think I can hold back this time, but I don't want to rush into shit." Katsuki added as he shook his head

"He's just such a small bit of sunshine that suddenly waltz into my shitty life and now he's making me all soft and just want to protect him with every fucking atom in my body." He said as a small barely there smile appeared on his lips

"De- Izuku, just seems so... perfect but he's so delicate and fragile that I'm hesitant around him 'cause I feel like I'll break him and I don't fucking want that..." Katsuki frowned, smile fading

"I hate talking about my feelings but, ugh, I can't take this anymore, I like him too much to stop myself now. What am I gonna do, Eijirou?" The spiky haired guy said, sighing while holding his forehead

The blonde was obviously looking stressed as he muttered the redhead's name which was unusual, but the other was used to it cause it's mostly reserved for situations where Katsuki is serious or vulnerable, where he needs someone to depend on.

Eijirou put a hand on Katsuki's shoulder.

"Look bro, I know you don't want to get hurt or hurt anyone, but why stop yourself? There's only gonna be two outcomes, one is he rejects you but he's too nice so you'll probably stay friends or two, he accepts your confession because he's also in love with you." He said with a shrug

"You don't fuckin' know that for sure." Katsuki grumbled

"I know, but that's usually how it goes. Don't make it complicated man. You're already struggling with it right? The fact that you're worried at all about how it feels shows you care so take it easy and test the waters." Eijirou suggested

"If you continue to stall, in the end, neither one of you will be happy." He added

"I'm sure you don't want that. I'm not an expert in this kind of stuff, but whatever decision you make, make sure you're thinking about yourself and how it'll affect you and Izuku 'cause his feelings matter too." Eijirou said, patting Katsuki's shoulder again

Katsuki sighed then nodded.

"I guess I'll give it a shot." He said

"That's my man!" Eijirou said

"Now let's go hang out at the arcade, you can play one of those shooting games you like to let out some stress." He added as he stood up

"Damn, that's a good idea Hair for Brains." Katsuki grinned, getting up

"Let me text Mina so she knows where I am." Eijirou said, pulling out his phone

"S- so, are y- you tel- ling m- me yo- u li- like m- my cru- crush's fr- friend?" Izuku asked Shouto to clarify the situation

Then the other's cheeks turned pink before clearing his throat and nodding.

"Yes, um, I don't know if he's dating anyone, but I like him. A lot." He said

"I- I do- don't t- think he's da- ting an- anyone, but I'm n- not too s- sure..." Izuku muttered

Shouto sighed. It feels like it's better to give up but no, he's going to give it a try first, that's what he was taught. To never give up no matter what.

"I- I do have M- mina's num- ber, the g- girl w- with the pi- pink h- hair..." Izuku said

"Then do you think you can call her?" Shouto asked

"Um you don't have to if you don't want to or I can just talk to her on your phone, I don't think it's appropriate if you give me her number without her permission so..." He added

"N- no, it's okay. I- I'll j- just ca- call her." Izuku replied, getting his phone and looking through his contacts for the pink haired girl's number then dialing it for call when he did as they waited

They didn't really wait that long since after a few rings, she picked up, seems like she's free.

"H- hello Mina?" Izuku said

"Ah, Izuku! I'm surprised you called, did you need something babes?" Mina sweetly said

"No I'm okay but um, T-todoroki-kun needed to talk to you." Izuku replied and looked at the boy with two toned hair hair

"Then can you pass the phone to him for me?" She asked to which the greenette nodded even though she couldn't see him

"Hello, Todoroki speaking." The taller said

"Hello! You're the one with red and white hair right?" Mina asked

"Yes." The boy in question answered

"Good! So whatcha need me for?" She questioned

"It's about your friend, the tall guy with black hair, uh Sero..." Shouto answered

"Oh, what about him hun?" Mina asked

"I... may have taken a liking to him..." Shouto told her making the girl on the other end gasp

"This is not the kind of conversation you should be having on the phone! Can you tell me your address?" She asked

"I can." Shouto nodded

"Great! I'll be there in a jiffy." Mina told him

"Okay, see you when you get here." Shouto said as he handed the phone back to the other

"S- see y- you Mi- mina." Izuku said into the device

"I'll be there soon, see ya!" She replied before ending the call then Izuku let Shouto text the woman his address

Now, they just had to wait...
