Izuku's POV

"Oh sorry-" I pause when I look up to see crimson red staring down at me.

"Izuku," He says lowly sending shivers down my spine.

"Katsuki." I reply looking down at my shoes. He lifts my chin up with his thumb and index finger and I turn my head away from him, glaring.

"Sorry," He mumbled. "I want to talk." He added. I cross my arms.

"I don't." I said turning on my heel when he grabbed my wrist. I closed my eyes and sighed turning back to face him. He loosens his grip on my wrist before letting go.

"Talk." I spat. He runs a hand through his blond locks.

"When you left 3 years ago-"

"Tut tut tut, no, nope, that's enough." I said sternly.

"Please?" He pleaded, his eyes desperately searching mine.

"Fucking fine." I huff with a glare.

"When you left, I'll admit I didn't care." He paused before continuing.

"I thought that it was for the best because you were going to be in a safer place than Japan." He finished and I raise an eyebrow. What is he talking about?

"Izuku I- I didn't bullied you because I though you were weak and pathetic. Every insult I threw at you were all lies. I- I guess I was trying to protect you in a way." He gulped, running his hands down his face.

"When you told me you were Quirkless but still wanted to be a Hero I was angry. I didn't want my best friend to get hurt because he was reckless.

A-At the time I thought that it was impossible and too dangerous for a Quirkless to become a Hero. So I bullied you." He looked back at me with tears on the brim of his eyes.

"Y-you obviously proved me wrong." He said in almost a whisper swiping his eyes harshly.

Is he about to cry?

"I- I know that it was stupid and mean, but I didn't want you to get hurt so I thought it was the only way to keep you safe, was to wreck your dream.

I-I ended liking you, a lot. I looked up to you, even if you are Quirkless. You were still kind and always smiling, you followed and praised me when I beat you down. You are so smart and p-pretty and I-" He paused to take a breath. I gaped at him.

"I'm so sorry Izuku. When you moved away Mom came in my room to tell me and interrogate me on why you didn't want to see me before you left. At first I acted dumb and like I didn't care, but I did. The boy I liked had moved across the world and hated me.

I confessed. And I regret everything I've done." He then pulled out a familiar small notebook.

"I- did you...Did you dig that out the trash?" I question scrunching my face at it.

"Erm, yes. Before I left campus I saw you standing in front of the Koi Fish fountain, and I watched you throw it away. It broke my heart because you looked so upset. I couldn't just walk away so when you were out of sight I told the boys to leave without me and went to grab it. It was wet and burnt so I bought another notebook and copied all the notes I could off the old one. I was going to give it to you that weekend but..." He explained and took the notebook. I flipped through the pages stopping at a few. Everything was there.
