This is the music playing. Listen to it if you wanna see them dance :))
~~Harumi's POV~~
"Merry Christmas, Ninjago City!!" Nya yelled as we entered the courtyard.
Cheers erupted from the crowd and the party started. Although, I think it started earlier already. I was immediately dragged away by the girls and I smiled at them before waving my hand towards Lloyd, who was busy talking with the boys.
I had my fair share of parties back at the palace but everything was always formal and I wasn't allowed to do what I wanted. But here? I was free to be myself without having to live up to the expectations of the people around me or be careful of what I say and how I speak.
There were plenty of guests gathered in the courtyard and I was introduced to everyone, even to the people Nya and Skylor didn't know personally.
"Who was that?" I whispered towards Pixal. We just finished saying hi to one of the many guests at their party.
"I have no idea." She responded and we both shared a giggle.
~~Lloyd's POV~~
"You didn't spike the punch, did you?" I raised an eyebrow towards Cole and Kai who had red cups in their hands.
"Of course not!"
"Why would you think such a thing."
They both acted like they were offended and I rolled my eyes before turning my attention to the crowd.
"Spiking the punch?" Zane asked from behind me.
"He's asking if we placed alcohol in the drinks." Jay whispered and Zane nodded.
"I can assure you, Master Lloyd that there are no traces of the substance in any of our drinks."
"Thank you, Zane." I nodded and my eyes landed towards the girls.
I'm happy Harumi is enjoying herself. It's not every day the Princess of Ninjago is free to do what she wants, I'm just glad I got her a few hours from the Emperor and Empress.
"Hey, Lloyd. Is that your girlfriend over there?" Darreth joined us by the stairs. The music changed and he pointed towards the dance floor.
What I saw next shocked me for days on end. Harumi was dancing in the center of the room and she wasn't just dancing, she was really good! The way her body moved to the beat got me in a trance. I couldn't help but stare at her.
"Go, Rumi!"
"You go, girl!"
I could hear the girls cheer her on which made me smile. I know she likes letting loose but I never expected her to put on a full performance in front of everyone. The people began to surround her which made me get up from my seat and push past the crowd to get a good view.
I made it to the front and she smiled as I watched. Our eyes never left contact as she danced. Each spin, hip sway, and body roll got me drawn to her more and more. Her footwork was flawless and I dared anyone to beat her.
Heat rose to my cheeks as she winked at me through her spin. The rest of girls eventually joined in which made her smile and continue dancing.
"Yeah!" Cole and Jay joined in before grabbing each of their girlfriends.
"Wow. Your girl really knows how to start a party." Darreth nudged me and rested his arm on my shoulder.
"How do you know she's my girlfriend?" I raised an eyebrow at him but my eyes never left Harumi.
