~~?? POV~~
It had been weeks since we began plotting our move to get the first mask. The gang had been training to master the art of stealth. I had Mr. E lead the mission for who knows what those incompetent idiots would do without a leader. I couldn't go out into the spotlight. At least not yet.
"Quiet One, we have been informed that the location of the second mask is in the Jade Palace." Killow stated from behind me which made me jump a little. I thought I was alone in here.
"Of course it's in the Jade Palace! Why do you think I've been trying to figure out the secret passage ways?" I threw my hands in the air.
Not everyone knew of its existence but I was one of the few people to know exactly where it was. The royal family likes their privacy and haven't done anything big since they adopted the princess. But that was all about to change.
"The palace is heavily guarded and there is no way of getting in and out without being caught."
"We need someone from the inside. And I know just who to talk to."
I grabbed my helmet and drove out of our headquarters in the subway. The wind blew through my hair as I raced through the city. I ran into a traffic jam in the middle of the highway which made me groan in frustration.
"Are you kidding me?!" I yelled. I was wasting time! Especially when I could be using it to get information.
"We all have places to be too, you know!" I heard one of the drivers call out from the window of his car. This was going to take longer than I expected. I made a mental note to get rid of traffic once I was the one ruling Ninjago City.
When I finally arrived at the gates of the palace, I tried to enter through the front gates but that was honestly just a failed attempt.
"Why, I am from the neighboring city called, uhm, Ninblago." I said with a weird accent as I placed on a fake smile at the guards. I managed to get some fancy clothing at a nearby store and used it as a disguise.
"I'm sorry, Ma'am. But we got no word about anybody visiting the Royal Family. It is best you leave now." One of the guards stated. I huffed and tried to walk past them but they used their staffs to block my path.
"I am Lady Velvet Snowdrop and I command you let me in the palace!"
"No can do, Madam."
I didn't want to embarrass myself any further so I tried my best to keep a low profile. I sneaked around the walls and past some rather sharp bushes to try and get a look inside the palace. The one thing they did not tell me about the structure was that it was surrounded by water.
Oh, nevermind, I was looking at the wrong building. I moved a few steps to my left to try and locate the real Jade Palace. I scaled the sides of one of the nearby houses in hopes to see past the wall.
To my luck, I spotted a familiar white-blonde princess walking through the garden. I wonder what it feels like to have everything you want at your disposal. She was dresssed in her usual green gown that had all kinds of gold and white designs on it that I couldn't help but feel envy.
"Such a spoiled little brat. Probably doesn't know the first thing when it comes to survival." I muttered to myself and continued peeking through my spot on top of the roof. "I need to find a way into that castle."
Then an idea lit up in my head, I knew exactly how to get her attention. Because just like any other goody two shoes princess, they all have one weakness. Or so I've heard from the stories I was told when I was a child.

"You need what?" Killow asked, a look of confusion on his face. I was back at our base and it was half past midnight.
The sounds of punches and groans echoed through the place and I knew Mr. E had a training session in progress. It was nice to know they were taking things seriously.
"I need rags! The kinds of clothes that no one would wear anymore." I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes.
"And you need this, why?"
"I need to get the princess's attention. We need that mask and if this is what it takes to get close to her then so be it."
"I'll ask the boys to find you some, Quiet One."
"Thank you!" I sighed after a long time of convincing. Sometimes, if you want things done, it's better you do it yourself.
