~~Harumi's POV~~
It turned night time faster than I expected. The SOG had finished setting up the place for the resurrection. All they had to do was wait for Ultra Violet. I took advantage of the moment and tried kicking the bars of the cage, creating a ringing sound that everyone was able to here.
"Hey! Stop that." One of the members of the SOG warned but I didn't care for it. I continued to kick the bars, making my cage swing in the air. "I said stop it!"
"Or what?" I challenged, a smirk forming on my face as I did so. "You need me for the Green Ninja to make a choice. If you want to save him from that, you might as well kill me now."
That shut them up. They should've known better than to mess with me.
I let out a groan, my frustration taking over, as I failed to take down the bars. I reached into my hair to find a pin and try to pry the lock open.
"Come on." I whispered but my actions were stopped when I heard the doors burst open.
Ultra Violet walked in, a proud smile on her face.
"What are you doing?" I asked as she walked towards us and commanded the Nindroid to turn the lever of the contraption I was stuck in. My cage went higher up as Misako's was lowered just enough for her to reach.
"For the resurrection to be complete, I need a hair from each family member. Fortunately, I was able to get one from the Green Ninja and the brother. All I need now is the wife's." She reached out and plucked a strand of hair from Misako's head before placing it inside a saucer. "It is time!"
"You don't have to do this! Bringing back Garmadon won't fill the hole in your heart." I tried to reason with her. If fighting won't work, then maybe a voice of reason would.
"So what if it won't? Maybe it will create a hole in yours instead!" Ultra Violet snapped, her back turned towards me.
"What do you think he'll do to you once he rises to power? You'll wind up back in the streets again or maybe even worse."
"He will notice my usefulness and use it to destroy people like you!"
"I get it, you're hurt. But there are people that can help you! That will listen to you if you just give them a chance!"
"You don't understand anything! You're just a helpless little Princess in a cage." She stomped over to me and held the bars. I stood my ground, her face inches away from mine. "You think people want to help? Then where were they when I needed a family?!"
I opened my mouth to speak up but no words came. No one came for her since she was a kid and no one was coming for her now. Not after everything she's done.
"I'm sorry." Was all I could say which made her scoff and turn her back towards me again.
"I don't need your pity. I have everything I could ever need right here."
She walked away and I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. With no family by her side and society considering her an outcast where would she turn to for guidance? Maybe life would be different if the Emperor and Empress had picked her instead. But what would become of me?
I was pulled away from my thoughts as the Oni masks came into view.
"Any trouble?" Ultra Violet asked.
"Nothing the others can't handle." Killow responded with a confident smile on his face. Trouble meant something was up. And if I know anything, it's that the ninja were coming.
"Then the ceremony is ready."
~~Lloyd's POV~~
The police commissioner created the perfect distraction at the gates which gave us enough time to sneak in through the water system.Taking down the bikers were easy. The only thing left to do was to find Harumi and stop the ceremony.
