34 | The Effects of Warm Milk

~~Harumi's POV~~

"Ow." Lloyd winced as I tended to his injuries. He got a pretty good bruise from the fight and I was more than happy to help out in treating him.

"I'm sorry." I lifted the cloth in my hands and let it hover above his stomach. He was fully shirtless in front of me and no matter how calm I looked on the outside, I was about to explode.

"You shouldn't have placed yourself in the fight like that." He sighed and I bit my lip. I was scared he was going to get mad at me about it.

"I can handle myself."

"And I told you to stay inside."

Lloyd's tone came off a little harsh but I knew he meant no harm. I went over to his bed and grabbed Zeal. Hopefully that would help calm him down.

"I know. But you were in danger and—."

"It's alright, Rumi." He sighed and met my eyes. "Thank you for saving me. I just don't want anything to happen to you."

"If I didn't, it would have been you in Master Wu's state."

The thought Lloyd becoming a baby painted a cute picture in my mind which made smile subconsciously.

"What?" He asked and tilted his head to the side which made me worried that I said that out loud.

"Hm?" I responded and tried to keep my cool. 

"Why are you smiling like that?" I turned to look at him. He had an eyebrow raised as he perched up on his elbow. Zeal was on his other arm as he cuddled him for comfort.

"Nothing. I was just thinking about how you would look like if you were baby." I giggled before throwing the top of his gi at his face. "Get dressed, you might get a cold."

"I'll have you take care of me, though."

"Not with that attitude."

I turned around and let out a laugh I was holding back before clearing my throat at the sound of the door opening.

"We found Zane." Cole announced, baby Wu in his arms.

Lloyd immediately perked up but groaned at the feeling of his bruises.

"Do you want me to carry you?" I teased but he didn't seem too embarrassed about the idea.

"Actually, I could use it."

He held his arms out and I stood there shocked. I walked towards him and squished his face with both my hands.

"Did the time blade hit you too?" I mocked with a pout on my face.

"Maybe I just want to be carried." He protested and I didn't miss the fact that he melted from my touch.

"If I drop you, don't say there wasn't a warning, Goldilocks." 

"Rumi I—." 

"Can you two please stop flirting and head outside? We have a serious situation here." Kai stated from the doorway and I immediately took a step back. Why did he have to walk in right now?

"Right. Sorry." Lloyd cleared his throat and got up with ease before walking towards the door. He placed his shirt on and turned his head to face me. "Are you coming or what?"

"I can't believe you." I lightly smacked his arm as we walked to the bridge. I wonder what he wanted to say.

Zane was in worse condition than before. There were different machines attached to him, some part of his nindroid body was torn open to reveal wires and circuits. The beeps filled the room and everyone felt more nervous than before.
