Chapter 1: fondness

Through the vision of darkness.

The sound of heavy winds and wings flapping made way through my mind, the sound of the noise,  the heavy crashing of water like a waterfall, the tingling of something magical in the night, the dream was only a dream so they say, dreams are our getaway from the reality of life but is it always. Irina's eyes flash open the first thing she sees it this white wall as she floated a bit, tied up to something. Soon the sound of something makes her slide back slowly, come to realize she's out of cryo sleep, she looked around to the people floating in the air, she looks confused and distorted.

Maybe the after effect of waking up from a sleep you didn't remember, a man floats to her checking irina, she stares watching him unbuckle the straps that were around her, she begin to float till she grabbed on to something. "You will be hungry you will be weak!" Someone yells meanwhile she got to her locker and grabbed her stuff, she tilts her head  looking at a certain man but continued forward to getting ready to go Pandora, she knew what she came her for but she has not executed the plan yet. She steps into something that was big, men and some women gather up to sit down.

So she followed sit down strapping herself up. Later in a few minutes, the aircraft begin to move making her get a little tense as she takes a few deep breath's, she didn't exactly where this was taking her but hopefully it took her to where she needed to go and was Visioned to be, after a while the aircraft settled down the head director announces for everyone to put on their masks, I do and pressed the button as it begins to sound a bunch of air begin sucked in. Irina stood up with her bag on her shoulder, she noticed a man in a wheelchair which wasn't normal for her, everyone wasn't in one which confused her but she kept pressing forward.

Looking at the horror of the place she did not feel safe here, it looked just like the old world she was before here, barely can see green, nothing but these oil factories and mining areas. Irina begins to walk again till Four men stood watching the newcomers come in, one guy notices me smirking he chuckle "look at this one," the other guy turns around smirking, "you don't get that body everyday," he comments I didn't get what he meant but I felt it wasn't a good feeling, I glared at him before heading inside, she looks around and went into the cafeteria where everybody else was, sitting in the back away from much people she stares at this one man, irina can sense an unlawful presence, he looked back not by just those scars on the side of his head. He discussed the rules of Pandora, this is where she was? Now that part was done she needed to find the rest, but that wasn't going to be easy.

Irina begins to vision off, she wanted her memories back, all of it is not there, disappeared, on a long lost abbess. Irina knows she belongs somewhere but not with this kind, this world she was in before, she doesn't fit in, she doesn't act like them, her nature was completely different and complex then them. She snapped out of her thoughts when she sees everyone standing up to leave, i walked out not really knowing where I was going. I noticed norm walking with the same man in the wheelchair, norm turned his head and smiled "irina! You're here!" He says I nodded he hugs me as I hug back.

"How you been? I haven't seen you in a while I thought you left the program,"  Irina shakes her head "I been..out," I try to say "oh, well we're going to go look at our avatars, wanna come?" I nodded "oh and this jake, Tom's brother," he says pointing to the man in the wheelchair "I almost forgot Tom had a..brother," I said "hi" I waved he nods his head "yea, it's crazy to believe Tom has twin," he jokes norm laughs a little "well you look just like him," he said we walked into a lab where people removing these covers revealing the blue things which were called avatars.

"Wow!" Norm says in awe as he went to his avatar, "gentlemen," he acknowledges "I'm max," he introduces himself soon he looms at me and his eyes grow wide "damn they got big," Jake says looking shocked, "yea they matured into he flight out," norm spoke, max shakes his head a little before jake went to his, irina slowly walked over to her's. Everything silenced around her, the sound of her heartbeat going faster could be heard, she stares at her avatar her eyes were glued to her face almost like irina was in a trance, she placed her hand on the glass, the light flash surrounded her eyesight.
My head sound of laughing, chattering and kids, a blurry vision of a women and father hugging me, I begin to recognize them, my parents, my life...... it all came back, my memories the way she felt was heart broken and the pure sadness that entered her body a tear fell, she wipes before looking away "you okay irina?" Norm asks I nodded "I was just thinking about a lot of things, a little to hard," she says giving him a reassuring smile saying she was fine but she knew she wasn't.

Max stares lips parted, he knew something she didn't. Max begins to direct them to the capsules where they will be linking to their avatars, an angry women stepped out "guys!  What's wrong with this picture?" She said sounds like something a mother would say to me, a women runs to her giving her a white coat and cigarette. "Grace, I would like you to meet norm spellman, jake sully and irina," max said, "norm, I heard a lot of great things about you, how is your Na'vi?" She asks him norm begin to speak the language which is something I really didn't know much of.

"Grace irina," max gave a weird look or something to her like if you were to know something like a person just comes in you always give that friend a look saying "he/she is coming" is what he gave her, her eyes went wide she froze "wow irina.. it's good to have you hear, I heard a lot about you," she says I nodded raising a brow a little why is her and max acting weird about me, like is there in my face or what? She begin to talk to Jake but that didn't go much well when she grew pissed and walked away, "you guys be here 0600," max says walking away.

"Irina why they seem so shock to see you?" Norm asks her she shrugs "I don't know, it looked like they knew something, or knows something about me that I don't know," irina said while looking around.

After a while of settling in, everyone went to go eat, I sit down next to Jake, because I didn't feel comfortable around a lot of people and they were talking about stuff I didn't really know basically science. I can tell Jake felt out of place, i guess it's because he's in a wheelchair but I don't know. "Why was Grace so mean to..you?" I ask "because I'm a marine, scientist don't like them, but I'm not really like them I just joined for the hardships I mean there was nothing left me to back on earth," he explains "ma..runes are bad?" He shrugs wit a nod "a lot of them, some not just depends.. where are you from?" He asks "long story.. it's complicated to tell but I am from America, the hell hole," I lied.

He smirked "crazy country, it's crazy how things drastically changed," he says I nodded not really knowing what he was talking about. Nightfall came and everyone was settling into their rooms. I laid down in the bed sighing, what will tomorrow bring?
