I kiss my teeth at the sound of my alarm waking me up. I check the time and get out of bed.

Putting on my house slippers, I check my phone and respond to some messages. I quickly glance at my socials and then finally make my way to the kitchen.

"Alexa play Insane by Summer Walker"

Swiftly making my may to the fridge, I grab my breakfast ingredients and turn on the stove.

"God Bless me, god help me...."

I happily sing along to the song as I make my breakfast. I turn the tv on to the news channel and I see it's Travis Scott. They're talking about the festival that he had and 8 people died.

I shake my head and sit on the couch to start munching on my food. I made French toast with scrambled eggs and spinach. (Don't knock it till you try it😭)

As I take a bite of my eggs I try to envision how the day is going to go. I have so many papers to fill out in regards to my suite for my esthetician business.

The contractor, the painter, the electrician. They all have to come in this week and fix it up. I'll just pay them extra to finish it today.

I finish up my food, wash my plate and go do my hygiene.

It's now 2:30 and I've been at the shop for a good couple of hours. Everything is coming along nice and I was reassured that it will be done by today.

Since everyone went to grab lunch I decided that I should go grab some food. There's this spot not to far from here that just opened up and I've been thinking about going so why not?

I lock up the shop before leaving. It's kind of chilly today but I have on a sweater so I should be fine.

As I'm walking I see there's a bunch of different people just sitting or walking around enjoying the day.

One thing I love about London so far is that people seem to enjoy themselves, regardless of who's around. And that's definitely something I can adhere too.

I almost make it to the restaurant and I bump into someone.

"Oh-"

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you!"

"Oh it's okay don't worry it was my fault I definitely wasn't paying attention"

Before I responded I glance at the young girl in front of me. She looks to be my age, also darkskin and very pretty.

Breaking me out of my observation she speaks: "How rude of me, my name is Nani!"

"Nice to meet you Nani I'm Tiara"

We shake hands

"What brings you to Manchester Tiara? I've never seen you here before?"

"Uhh well I just moved here from Atlanta. I've always been in love with London since I have family here and always visited"
