[This is more platonic than anything, but I think it still makes me legally a furry, so? David Tennent's voice is my weakness, what can I say? Also, I make Goldie way too evil (?) in these things bc I'm a jealous hoe and also insanely over-protective, so I hated her until season 3.]

Date of Origin: Wednesday, 2nd December 2020

Y/n: *tied up to high heaven, unable to move her arms, still able to stand, unable to run due to a Goldie's firm hand on the rope* "Hey, hey, hey! Hands off the frock, blondie!"
S: "It can't be..."

G: "Oh, hey, Scroogie! Nice of you to drop in!"

S: "Goldie, what on earth are you doing?"

G: "Well-"

Y/n: *interrupts, grinning* "Scrooge McDuck, how are ya, you old fart?"

S: *half-growls* "Y/n L/n."

Y/n: *laughs* "Your broad here thinks I'm leverage material! Which, I must say, is awfully sweet... but also incredibly stupid."

G: "What?"

Y/n: "If you'd listened to a word I was sayin on the way up here, you'd know that I haven't spoken to Scrooge McDuck in... how long's it been, Scrooge? 20 years, 30?"

S: "27 years."

G: "What?!"
Y/n: "He currently hates my guts!"

G: "But I thought you two were-" *gestures wildly* "You know?"

Y/n: "Well, to be fair to you, the last time all three of us were together, we were thick as thieves." *laughs* "I did ask once or twice though! He wasn't interested, so I left him be." *adjusts her footing, avoiding eye contact* "I wouldn't wanna date me neither!"

G: *shrugs* "Oh, well. I can't leave you alive while you still have a thing for him."

Y/n: *smile falls* "We both know you're only in it for the money, O'Gilt."

G: "As if you weren't friends with him for the money!"

Y/n: *snaps her head up, rage burning in her eyes* "I would walk through hell and back for that man. He's the best friend anyone could ever hope to have, and one stupid mistake cost me that friendship. It kills me, the way he looks at me, because I left him alone. But even still, if I was given the choice of hurting him or sticking knives into my eyes, I'd pick the knives! And I've spent every moment of the last 27 years trying to get back to him, because..." *looks into Scrooge's eyes, softening* "I love him with my entire heart and every iota of my god-forsaken soul." *sighs* "I never left because I wanted to, Scrooge. The stupid orb did hold void powers... I made the mistake of handling it with my bare hands and," *sniffles* "it cost me my friendship with the best man I've ever known."

S: *taken aback* "Y/n..."

G: "Oh, boo hoo! What a surprise! Your loyal dog didn't leave you alone because she wanted to, it's because she made a dumb mistake!" *starts moving her towards the edge* "No matter. Your time is up, L/n."

Y/n: *looks down, closing her eyes, brimming with tears* "I'm sorry I left you alone."

S: "Goldie! Stop this madness!"

G: *dangles Y/n over the edge* "Your money or your broad, Scroogie." *spits the word "broad" in disgust*

Y/n: *snaps her eyes open, starting to struggle, realising where she is* "Scrooge McDuck, don't you dare! I've still got a few lives left!"

S: "I cannae just let her drop ya, Y/n!"

Y/n: "Just trust me. I'll see you on the other side."

S: "Y/n, I-"

G: *rolls her eyes, letting go* "Oops, butterfingers!"

S: "Y/n!" *scrambles up to where she fell, watching her disappear into the abyss* "No." *tears roll down his cheeks*

G: "You know she was just using you. It's better this way."

S: "I've got half a mind to throw you down after her, O'Gilt."

G: *shrugs, leaving Scrooge heartbroken and alone*

[A few hours later]

S: *all out of tears, still staring blankly at the chasm*

[Screaming suddenly erupts from the pit, and Y/n is thrown out on her face, still bound up]

Y/n: *hisses as she makes contact, feeling blood run down her face* "Good for nothing, son of a-" *notices Scrooge's shocked face* "Did you really think I'd leave you alone again so soon?"

S: *crying again, pulling her up and into his arms* "You scared me half to death, Y/n."

Y/n: *crying a little herself, wrapping her head around his neck, arms still bound to her sides* "I can't believe you stayed."

S: "I'm sorry for everything."

Y/n: *wraps herself around him, closing her eyes* "I forgive you."

[A while later, after they both stop crying, and Y/n has finally been untied, they sit with their legs dangling over oblivion]

S: "What on earth made the pit throw you back?"

Y/n: "It's a bottomless pit, very common in this area. Because nothing is every truly bottomless, it's more of an infinite loop that can't sustain added mass, so it eventually tosses you back where you started. On rare occasion, you don't come back, but I guess this isn't one of those occasions."

S: "Bottomless pit... Very strange indeed."

Y/n: "You said it, bud."
