[I have a whole DA insert that spans the WKM, ADWM, and AHWM universes and a dozen oneshots dedicated to trying to work out how it all fits together. Needless to say, Heist 2 is hopefully gonna drop before the end of this year and I'm so hyped. I have a physical notebook filled with theories, and a note-writing app full of my custom timeline, and it's getting hard to separate them. Also, I'm in love with Damien.]

Date of Origin: Thursday, 8th April 2020

Y/n works as a lounge singer at a club downtown, sleeping around for tips after the show ends. Dark, looking for someone, anyone who remembers what happened in that house, tracks her down, sitting in the front row as she walks on stage.

Y/n: *wearing heels that she shouldn't feasibly be able to walk in, shadows swirling around her ankles* Everyone tells me he's no good, he doesn't love me like he should," *leans down seductively to the front row, right into Dark's face, voice unfaltering, the only indication that she's noticed it's him is the shadows gripping tighter to her wrists* "I would forget him if I only could." *stands back up, satisfied with the tiny blush on his nose* "He's a demon, he's a devil," *gasps* "he's a doll!" *finishes up her set, blowing a kiss to the audience before heading backstage, lighting up a cigarette*

D: *pushes the door open, coughing slightly to let her know he's there*

Y/n: *blows another puff of smoke, leaning back in her chair* "Dark. I take it you didn't come back here for a good time?"

D: "That's why your bouncer insisted I pay up, huh?"

Y/n: *shrugs off her huge fluffy jacket, revealing hundreds of black tally marks inked across her chest and over her shoulders* "My pipes don't pay the bills. What brings you down my end of town?"

D: "How did you get out?"

Y/n: *goes deathly still* "How'd ya mean?"

D: "Don't play games with me, L/n."

Y/n: *sighs* "Exactly what you did to me, sweetheart. There's a poor, sweet journalist trapped in that house now." *looks down guiltily*

D: "But you remember everything?"

Y/n: "Mhm. Don't suppose you've managed to track down Will?"

D: "Not yet, he's gone completely off the grid."

Y/n: "Well, I don't think I'd be of much use. Unless you wanna use the rest of your hour for something actually fun, I suggest you get goin. I've got paying customers to wait on, don't you know?"

D: "Did anything adverse happen to you when you took over another vessel?"

Y/n: *shadows swirling around her wrists and ankles extend out into arms with jagged fingers* "I got these."

D: *steps back a tiny bit, to his credit* "Impressive."

Y/n: "Yeah. It ain't your weird voodoo shit, but they help out."

D: *turns to leave but stops* "I thought you were the District Attorney?"

Y/n: "I was, but this is what I did while I was trying to pass the bar exam. And since no one knows who I am anymore, and I don't have any connections in the mayor's office, I don't have a job." *stands up, staring at her sunken eyes in the mirror*

D: "My apologies."

Y/n: "Not your fault I decided to go to that stupid party."

D: "I still haven't managed to find him."

Y/n: "I've been lookin into him." *pulls a file from under her vanity, handing it to him* "He's been spotted out near that fancy museum downtown. I've gotten word Abe's still alive as well."

D: "What?"

Y/n: "Yeah, apparently he didn't bleed out like I thought he had. He's a warden at a prison out east."

D: "I need to go. Thank you, for your help."

Y/n: *chuckles a little, puts the cig out on her hip, giving Dark major flashbacks* "See you around, Dark."

D: "I'll make sure of it, Y/n." *goes to leave*

Y/n: *stops him* "Wait... I..." *shoves a slip of paper into his closed fist, drops his wrist, looking away from him* "Stay safe out there, alright?"

D: *puts a hand on her shoulder* "I will. I'll come back once I know more."
