Frank's POV
Summer
I looked around, looking into the empty bedroom that I had called home for this whole year, though I knew it gave us some good memories, I knew it was time to leave it. I locked up and went to my car, going down to the front office and turning in the key for now. I saw her slip it into an envelope signed with my name and Gerard's.
"Have a good summer, young man, we'll see you next year."
"Oh, not in the dorms, did Gerard tell you about that?"
"Yes, we just know you're going to be studying here next year, don't worry."
I smiled and waved, going out and seeing Gerard driving the huge Uhaul. I waved to him, giving him a thumbs-up before going to my car. I pulled out of my spot, grabbing my phone and calling him. The ringing was a little loud on the speakerphone, though I couldn't drive while my phone was in my hand.
"Hey, handsome. You ready?"
"Yeah, lead the way, I'm right behind you."
I heard Gerard's nasally giggle, following him as he drove to our new place. Yes, our new place. I was so excited, we had been dating for 6 months now and since we had already been living together, we decided we didn't want to change that. After all, we lived a little far from each other and we had gotten used to seeing each other every day.
I heard Gerard singing as we pulled into the apartments, looking for our number and then hearing him tell me that he found 117. He sounded super happy about it and I found it adorable. I parked in an open spot, getting out and hanging up the phone as I met him at the back of the truck. I unlocked the door, pulling it up and letting it reveal the boxes, couches, a mattress, packed away bedframe, and packed away desks. It looked like a Tetris game, but everything fit.
I grabbed the dolly, putting about five boxes on it as Gerard grabbed a couple of boxes. We went to 117, grabbed out the key, and unlocked the door. It was just as empty as the dorm was when we left, though this time we were moving stuff in. I smiled and put the boxes down, looking at my boyfriend.
"Gee, how about I move the boxes in and you put them where they need to be?"
"Sounds awesome, these boxes are kind of killing my arms."
I moved a little, kissing his cheek and grabbing the dolly to go back for more boxes. I moved all of them on my own as Gerard moved them to their respective rooms, though I made sure to move the couches in last so we weren't tempted to sit down and take a break in the middle. We had to return the truck eventually and I wanted to get everything in before we took a break.
"Frankie, how about we get take out tonight, my treat, I'm just super tired, and I kind of don't wanna cook."
"Sure, I'll come with you to drive you back from the Uhaul place, we drop it off, then we go get your car. That way we get you car and we can split up so I can unpack while you grab food."
"My boyfriend is a genius."
Gerard came over, kissing me gently as we swayed in the kitchen, pulling apart after a little while. I kissed his cheek one last time, going out to my car and unlocking it. I saw Gerard closing the back door to the Uhaul.
"See ya there, Frankie!"
"See ya there, Gee!"

I had the kitchen and some of the living room unpacked as Gerard came in with the food, holding it up while dawning his adorable smile. I cheered and kissed his cheek, taking a bag from him as he closed the door behind him. We went to the kitchen, putting the stuff down and kissing briefly before my stomach growled, making me laugh a little.
"Good thing I brought breadsticks and your pasta."
"My hero."
I felt his lips on my cheek as I smiled, which only succeeded in me smiling even more as I grabbed the food and went into the living room. I sat down on the couch, taking out the boxes and opening them to see if it was my alfredo. I smiled and grabbed a plastic fork from the bag, digging into the pasta and taking a bite. I felt him sit beside me, gravitating towards him a little as he turned on the TV.
"You like your pasta, babe?"
"Mhm, thank you, Gee! I always like their sauce."
"I know, I'm glad I went for that Italian place then."
I nodded as I ate, not knowing the time since the blackout curtains were blocking the sun if it was out still. I enjoyed a little break as I cuddled up to Gerard, eating a breadstick after finishing off my pasta. It was probably late, either that or I was just tired. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket, seeing that it was only 10 pm, which cleared that up.
After eating, I grabbed the couch blanket and snuggled up to Gerard, kissing his cheek. I looked at the TV, feeling his arms around me once more. I closed my eyes as I lied my head on his chest, yawning and bringing the blanket to go over my shoulder. I felt a kiss come to my forehead, smiling lazily as I kissed his clothed chest.
"Sleep tight, Frankie."
"Night, Gee... First night in a new place, unfamiliar."
"It's okay, I'm right here, just sleep."
I nodded as I relaxed, feeling the familiarity of Gerard's hands on my back as I slowly slipped into sleep with no aid. It was different, though I knew it would be. With all of this change came Gerard, sleeping with him and waking up to him. All that waiting turned out to be worth it, even though a semester might not be much of a wait.
Here we were, cuddled up on a couch and falling asleep in our new apartment. You know what? I wouldn't have it any other way.
