Not An Update

Honestly, I should've seen this coming. I tried to ignore it, but the subject pricks my mind every time I try to pick this piece up. It's just so poorly written. So poorly planned. And perhaps that's what happens when you let a high-schooler who's writing skills were so woefully subpar start a complex fanfic such as this one. It is because of this, that now, 2, even 3 years after the publishing of the first chapter, I must announce the decision I have come to. 

It may be unpopular. I don't care. I love this ship and the idea of writing a GOOD story about it too much to care. 

I have decided to rewrite it. 

The reasoning is that I can't save this story from being dogshit. The introduction contains far too many plot holes. The antagonist is poorly written. The relationship between the two is rushed and confusing. Denki is given a power-up which he doesn't deserve; in other words I did not write him a training arc or a logical build-up of his powers. Kyouka's powers were all but ignored. The background characters like the pair of Aunts were not given enough flesh.

To some, this might not bother you. But it bothers me, because I can do so much better. Which is why I have decided to rewrite this fic. I will keep some of these chapters, because I think they're good chapters, but most will be rewritten. 

As a writer, I am too technically limited to keep this story as is, there must be changes at its roots.

However, I will keep this story up for readers to peruse. I will not delete it. It is my first attempt at a fanfic, and its an example of what to do and what not to do. 

I am so thankful for the support, positive feedback, and generally an awesome group of people who chose to give a new guy a chance to ply his talents. I will take your kind words into consideration as I revise this idea of mine. For your patience and considerate nature, I thank you for these years of amazing support.

This was a hard decision to come to. I spent the better half of quarantine pulling my hair to write this fanfic. But the facts are clear. The story was done without consideration. I believed myself above such trivial matters. The updates came too slowly, and part of that was the trouble of improvising story lines in a fragmented plot. 

Forgive me, but I have decided to rewrite this story somewhere else.
