It was already 1 month into the school year, and many exciting things already happened. For one, he had found many amazing friends. People he could trust. Second, he was making headway in his studies, placing top 10 in every major and minor test he took. His quirk, too, was a masterpiece in the making. Although he had gained reputation for being a goofball when he intentionally used his quirk to his max, Denki had also gained a reputation for power and sheer skill, the skill of swordsmanship rivaled only by Tokoyami. Plus, he had gotten closer to Kyouka. They talked pretty much everyday, seeing as they were shoulder partners. But there was something that just made him WANT to talk to her.

Denki stopped at that thought. His broom stopped sweep and everything came back into focus. It was the end of the day, everyone had gone except for him and Kyouka. They had cleaning duty today, to which the were just finishing Class 1-A. Kyouka sat at her desk, silently listening to music, the faint sound of rock and roll playing as she read her textbook. Denki huffed. "Shouldn't you be working too, you lazy slug?" He smirked. Kyouka looked up, "Nah, only if I'm your wife" She joked back. "You make that sound like marrying you is a bad thing," He laughed. "Well, it is, for me, at least," She looked back at her book. Denki rolled his eyes, and maybe it was the trick of the light but he thought he could see a tint of red on her cheeks.

"Probably not,"

He finished cleaning and put the supplies back in the closet, grabbed his bags and was about head out the door when it slammed open. It was Kendo. "Oh, hi Kaminari! Were you just about to head out?" She asked. "Well, yeah, I was just about to go get you so we can lock up," he replied in a heartbeat. "Of course! Mind if we go home together?" Kendo asked. "Why would I refuse?"He smiled.

"If your done, then we can go,"

Denki jumped. Kyouka was leaning on the desk. "Come on, Mr. Zeus Almighty, let the lady pass and let's get out of here," she said, smirking. "Oh hi, Jirou! How was your day?" Kendo asked. "It was good, how about yours?" Kyouka replied smiling. A little too big of a smile. But it was only for a moment, and Kyouka went back to smiling and talking normally.

"Bye you two, see you guys on Monday!"

Denki blinked. The whole trip had gone by in a flash. "Oh, bye, Kendo, see you Monday," He replied. "Bye, 5-Hand," Kyouka yelled out after her, laughing, "See you Monday for another match." "You'll know I'll win, Miss Aux Cord," she laughed. The doors closed and the train picked up steam, and the fading figure of the Class 1-B president was no longer seen. Denki looked at Kyouka. She was smiling at her phone. "You're in a better mood ," he remarked. "You're just mad you didn't get any attention, you big baby," she giggled. He rolled his eyes.

As they walked off the platform and onto the streets of Hosu Sub-urban. As they walked back to their neighborhood, they found themselves talking without thought. They reached Kyouka's house as the sun was about set. Denki looked at his watch. 6pm. Denki looked at the dark windows of Kyouka's house, the empty driveway, the locked gate. Her parents weren't home. Denki reached out to Kyouka's hand and firmly grasped the small hand, stopping her.

"Let's go downtown and hang,"

She looked at him, confused. "Come on, Pikachu, what's with you?" She smiled half-heartedly. "Your parents aren't home and I don't want you to be alone, so come with me. I was planning on going shopping anyways," He told her. "No they'll be-" "NO!" He interrupted her, slightly raising his voice. "I'm sorry but don't lie to me. I know what's going on, so just take my offer," he looked at her in the eye. She blushed under his stern gaze. "F-fine," she conceded, "T-thank you, Denki." He smiled. "No problem."

Downtown Tokyo City, 5 p.m.

Kyouka led a smiling Denki down the main street of Hosu City. The bright lights of storefronts, restaurants, and street lights lit up the street. It was busy, full of shoppers, commuters, and students from neighboring schools bustling around. "To be expected, " Denki thought as Kyouka pulled him along towards a shop filled with all things music, instruments, and radios. "It's the Friday home rush hour. And in a big city like Hosu, no wonder its crowded." He glanced at his female companion, who was excitedly gazing at the selection of foreign albums, titles such as "The Best of Queen The Platinum Collection: Greatest Hits I, II & III", "The Very Best Of Rick Springfield", and the "Essential: Billy Joel". Denki looked at her smile and her glowing eyes. H laughed, which drew the attention of the fangirling Kyouka. "What?" she asked confused. "Oh nothing, I just think its cute that just one shop brings the light in your eyes," he replied smiling. She went red at the word "cute". "Woah, are you okay, Jirou? You look like you have a fever!" Denki said, quite concerned and oblivious. Kyouka let the color drain out. "O-oh no, just a bit excited... come on we still have a lot of time," she replied, pulling him towards the Kiyashi Ward shopping mall.

Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall, 8:00 p.m.

Kyouka and Denki sat together in a cafe, across from each other, each with a sandwich and drink, lounging in couch chairs. Next to Kyouka, there were a few bags filled with clothes; pants, shirts, sweaters, hats. Under Denki, there lay a bag with a few things; chocolates, a beanie, a sweater, and a SUPREME headband. His school bag and sword lay next to him. "It's the end of the month so good thing I used it all of my monthly allowance for something," he murmured as he looked out the window into the mall. There were many shoppers, and the mall was packed with people trying to grab items before Thanksgiving break. "But isn't the cost over the allowance?" Kyouka asked, as she apparently overheard Denki's quiet words. "Yeah, so I reached over into last months funds because I didn't use any of it... come to think of it, I hardly use any of it although Aunt Shizu keeps insisting that I at least save up so that I have safety funds for the future." He replied. "Really? If I had a 28000 yen (around 250$) allowance, I'd spend it everytime I went with the girls. Isn't it such a hassle to keep giving you that much just for you to not use it?" she asked. Denki thought about this for a moment. "Yeah, you're right, but she works a seriously high paying job for a top hero agency that she has so much she doesn't know what to deal with. Half, she uses while the other half she gives to charity, organizations, fundraiser, and finally me. I actually get the least." He explained.

At that moment, a figure with a dark hoodie and baseball cap covering his face walked by the window. As he passed by Denki, he could sense a surge of potential energy coming from inside the figure's hoodie. He could feel it pulsating, waiting to explode. Explode. Denki's eyes widened.
